She loved her Christmas gift. I thought they were very well priced and the tin looked lovely. Given her love of Marron Glace, I think it would be safe to say they taste great. No complaints from her so far! I didn't get to taste them, so I can't comment on the taste of them.

Will definitely buy this again. It tastes amazing and the packaged beautifully.

Loved that the centres were almost liquid but had to stop myself eating them all in one session.Have had other brands over the years that were more floury despite the syrup.The tin is beautiful and can be reused to store bits & bobs.Am going to treat myself again but reserve some of the marrons for recipes.

I feel I have to state that I have never had Glacé Chestnuts before, being prepared to try things new I thought I'd give them a go. I have enjoyed Chestnuts raw, roasted (which softens them and kills their potential over acidity) and as a puree from Clement Faugier. I suppose I expected these to be cream in colour with that hint of acidity to balance out the sugary nature of most Glacé products. On opening, they were darker than expected and on tasting had no acidity and a very subtle hint of Chestnut. The individual nuts are unusually quite large, whether this is swelling due to the Glacé process or due to the variety of chestnut I cannot say. From past experience of tree fruits like apple and pears, bigger can often mean inferior textured flesh and less taste. For me intensity of flavour is part of the enjoyment of eating, if you are more inclined towards subtle flavours you are likely to enjoy these in a way I could not.They are extremely well packaged, possibly overly so, maybe a very good gift for sending from the old world to the new, as the level of protection and sealing is unlikely to let them spoil on route.

My husband is a big fan of chestnuts, and fancied trying Marron Glacés… so I decided to treat him for xmas. Obviously, they are extremely expensive (!!) but I felt these were good value as you also got the beautiful tin. He says they are utterly delicious - soft, flavourful and like fudge… fast shipping too. Very pleased, would recommend and will purchase again. Everything we’ve tried from Lavolio has been great.

Having tried several brands over the years, I am delighted to have finally found marrons glacés that taste as they should. They are very expensive but as a luxury treat a very well worth it delicious delight! Only problem is how to make them last!

Bought for Christmas, but thought I'd better try them first just in case and I'm glad I did. Love the ethos and quality ideals of this young company and I would order other items from them, but not their Maron. Unfortunately the flavour isn't bad it's just not there, I don't have poor taste buds, but I just can't taste these at all. There is Bourbon and vanilla in the ingredients list, but it's not enough, I know a balance must be struck, but I'd rather taste something than nothing. Also as a luxury item, everything needs to be correct, and whilst the tin is lovely, the plastic tray doesn't fit the tin, so once you've removed it from its foil bag, it doesn't sit nicely in the tin. I hate plastic 'liners" and wonder if there's a more beautiful alternative? I guess it's back to Fortnums for this Yuletide delicacy.

Weich und zartschmelzend entwickelt sich das Maronenaroma zu einem wahrhaft königlichen Geschmackserlebnis. Ein absolutes Highlight für alle, die das Besondere lieben. Nicht die tollste Praline kann diesen auch noch veganen Genuss toppen. Wurde zur Krönung unseres Weihnachtsmenues. Begeisternd.
