I've had the hose hooked up for about 40 days, last night I noticed the shell fraying in two areas. One of the areas allows the internal hose to pop through which makes the tear worse. I did like it out of the box but afraid it's not very durable.Update 9/4/17. Customer service was excellent. Sent a replacement hose in a couple of days. They do stand behind the 1yr warranty for sure!

The hose WAS amazing for two weeks. I was very careful with it and let it fill up and lengthen on its' own before walking with it or tugging on it. My neighbor came up and said they bought one and it broke but I just thought they didnt know what they were doing or was rough on it. I know what I am doing and take my time with it - WRONG - BURST! Once it does it is no good. Wasted $70

So far this is a much better product than another brand I purchased last year. Of those 3, all have broken and now are beyond warranty. That company did send me new hoses after the warranty, yet those have also failed.

This hose looks well-enough made, and the heavy brass fittings inspire confidence, but the 50 foot hose we ordered was really just 25 feet long, or thereabouts. True, you could stretch it, but at 35 feet it started getting pretty taut, so if you had to walk around any sort of corner, it would snag a shrub and bend it.If you stretched it more, it would get very taut and a bit ridiculous. Possibly you could stretch it to 50 feet if you wanted to get a mention in the Guiness Book of Records, but I was not motivated to do that.

I love this hose, really do. Lightweight, and shrinks to almost nothing when not in use. I now do not spend any time trying to arrange my hose in nice concentric circles; I just drop the hose on a small pile in the ground.But the hose that I got was defective; the inner tube broke. I contacted them, and since the hose was guaranteed for a year, they sent me a new one. Delivery was super-fast, like the next day. The new hose has been working for about 10 days. I have deducted one star because the initial item was faulty, but then I gave them an extra star, because of their incredibly good customer service. Hence, five stars.

I have had this hose since January 2018 and today it failed (burst) dramatically soaking my wife (at 90+ degrees it was not tragic) while starting to do our daily watering. Tried to follow up on 1-year warranty, through Amazon as the order information stated. Amazon provides no direct way to do warranty claim after 30 days. I am waiting to hear from the company through an email message. Disappointing that hose exploded and that I missed seeing my wife get blasted. If I had known it was going to explode, so I could watch/film, it might be worth the cost of the hose. Clearly, This hose should last more than 6 months, otherwise, the product performed as advertised. I will update this review after hearing from the company or Amazon.

I was excited and hoped this would be better than the last expandable hose I purchased because it seemed more durable and cost more. After less than one month and probably about 12 uses to water my flowers, the inside hose literally busted in half today when I was using it. I would highly recommend sticking with a rubber hose as these have been no luck.

Don't buy this hose. The intake end is restricted to a very small hole which will significantly reduce water flow. No idea who came up the the dumb idea to keep water from running through the hose. I can't see any way to remove the restriction.
