Wow!
I haven't been drawn into a book like these ones since Don Winslow's Power Of The Dog- the only difference is that that was a single edition whereas the Conqueror series kept me reading for weeks! Conn Iguldon's ability to transport readers back to the Mongol society in the thirteenth century is fantastic - pure escapism threaded with edge of your seat action. I lost count of the times my jaw hit the floor as I literally gasped at another twist in the story. The notes on historical accuracy at the back are a great addition as they keep readers well informed.I highly recommend this series but also advise reading it when plenty of time is available (not if your a mum & near the beginning of the school Summer hols as I did) as you will very possibly lose a few weeks of your life, but in a great way.

Fabulous series
Fabulous series. I read them all on Kindle and recommended them to my husband. We enjoyed them so much I bought the books for my son’s birthday He’s on the third book and loves them. Brilliant writing. I couldn’t put them down

Brill books
Absolutely brilliant books. I've read them, and couldn't put them down, and bought this set as a gift for a relative. Unfortunetly the 4th book was in a different format (large print, different style) and so not ideal as a gift set. To be fair to the seller they did offer a full refund on return or a discount if I kept the books, and they were very quick and helpful when I raised my concern. 5 stars for the material in the books, no hesitation, just let down by the particular 4th book.

As engulfing as the Khan's themselves
Powerfully written characters and a stunningly impactful storyI was lent the first book and by the time I had finished 5 or so chapters, I had to purchase them allSoon after, I had burned my way through them like Tsubodai did with Europe...trust me, that'll make sense to you when you read them

Easy to read, historical events fit well in authors novels
I read the first book picked up at a charity shop a few years ago. Been meaning to buy the series for some time, but always had a few books waiting to read. Author writers to my style of authors, like Bernard Cornwall and new author Giles Kristian.
