Great Product !!
I was looking for a drain large enough that it could handle a lot of water run off. This is it !!It is very heavy duty both the bottom portion and metal drain cover. The slots are large and plenty of them to capture all the water. It connects together very easily on it's own and has the end cap, and an end to connect to a 4" drain pipe.I ordered the extra 4 way connection piece to make a "T". It can do a 3 way or a 4 way connection.Plus it looks very nice and professional.I had questions on the parts and the response time back was within the hour !!!Super Service all around which is why I wanted to write this review and show the pics of the project. It butted up very tightly to the loose rocks, carpet and the pavers. !!Highly recommend this for any drain project. Better to go large than to be too small !

Great Trough Drain for the Price
The trough drain is working well and easy to assemble. The side connector fit well into solid PVC. Durable enough for my needs. I would like to have had a straight down PVC pipe connection, but the only straight down option is to flexible drain pipe. I'll try that later.

One flaw
These worked out well in the end. Here’s one IMPORTANT tip. If you are setting these in cement, the grates cannot be removed once the sides are set in hardened cement. This is due to the little tabs along the sides of each grate. The base needs to flex outward to release these tabs, which is impossible in a rigid cement installation.Luckily I realized this with only two sections fully grouted in. My solution was to dremel off each and every tab (a big job). I finally also got the two stuck grates off too by carefully plunge cutting each tab with a cutoff disk using the dremel (really delicate and difficult).Still once finished the grates have held up so far and seem to work well.

Solid performer
Very strong thick plastic. Tip for joining: Don't use a silicone caulk (like my first try) to seal up the joints. Rough up the edges being joined with a wire brush and use a very strong waterproof adhesive. I had some Shoe Goo handy and that worked great.

Good idea. Needs a little more thought.
The idea is good but the connections break easily and a not all that secure. End caps should snap on. The silicone glue isn’t strong enough to hold them on as you manipulate then into the ditch.

great with recommendation
Item Description: Drainage Trench - Channel Drain With Grate - Gray Plastic - 3 x 39" - (117" Total Length)Pros: plastic is heavy duty, durable. pieces are well formed & snap together easily & properlyI am using this for the back of a paver patio that had a water issue. If I were using it for a driveway, I'd probably cement it into place.Cons: I tried PVC glue but it doesn't seem to really work like it should. Probably "user error"lolI did not try silicon caulk.. I just wanted to get the trench into the ground & not get messy. The reality is, you do not really need anything to connect the pieces together.. it fits just fine.Suggestions to manufacture: It is lightweight: meaning.. when I installed it & used a garden hose to test it out, the water flowed over the units & had gone underneath of the entire trench & floated it. I ended up drilling two holes per section & staked it with 12 inch stakes into the ground to hold it into place. This worked fine.Would I buy again or as a gift? YesDid I receive anything for this review? NO! I paid full price for this item.

Cheap junk - go to your local hardware store instead
I bought these ones specifically because it came with the end cap for a 4" drain pipe. They're actually MORE expensive than similar at Home Depot. Be aware these are extremely cheap and the connections are basically non-existent.The end cap desing SUCKS, does not fit 4" flex pipe properly - I ended up having to glue it and duct tape... I could've rigged something similar with the ones from HD that didn't have a proper end cap... the only reason I bought these instead. The end cap itself does not snap in AT ALL either - it must be glued - which does not hold well and will add a day to your prep time just for this step...The connections are extremely small and weak. 1/3 of them were broken out of the box, the remaining pretty much all broke when trying to line everything up and wiggle the whole length slightly... trash..Like someone else said there are not many protrusions on the bottom for concrete to grip.Over all very poor quality and difficult to install. Lots of silicone and duct tape required just to hold things together and make it look less professional... The ones at the hardware store seemed much better and cost less. If you're fine with rigging your own end cap or using bottom drain, I would highly recommend another brand over these.
