Very sturdy!
seems very sturdy and easy to put on! I have a 31" tire and its very secure on there. It extends about 2" further than the old mount. Hardest part is getting the old one off and not snapping bolts!

May be a good fit for you, no third brake light mounts.
There's a lot of missing information out about these spare tire carriers so I want to share my experience. I have 265/75r16 MT tires on TJ Rubicon wheels, and could not use the stock carrier because the tire hit the stock bumper. This carrier moves the tire out quite a bit, but just barely clears the bumper. I don't see how you can fit a larger tire (>32") without backspacing or an aftermarket bumper. This carrier is well made and very sturdy. My biggest complaint that is not obvious from the ad is that there are no provisions for your third brake light! I was able to drill & tap the top brace and install the stock third brake light. You will also need to plan for tire bumper extensions as they are not included but may be needed to avoid rattling.

Great item, highly recommend
This was easy to install and works great. We removed the swing gate spare tire attachment on the rear bumper and installed this instead. My wife loves the ease of getting in and out of her cargo space.

This is a strong, durable attachment. It looks nice on the Jeep and fits well.

Find a different one
It is heavy duty but it didn’t come with any hardware, the holes don’t match up to the tailgate and forget about mounting it to the matching tailgate hinges.

Fits 1993 yj
Easy to install, would like to see some type of rubber gasket to fit between so the metal doesn’t rest on metal. I did reuse the rubber from last holder.

Worked for my 8 lug 16" Ford spare tire
I used this to mount my 8 lug ford spare tire. Only one lug matches up. Used a 1/4 inch steel bar to connect the other 2 lugs and hold the rim in place. Short bit of chain connected to a lock keeps it where it's should be.
