Our labradoodle hates coats, but does not mind this one (Great for mild cold winters)
We got this Jacket in size M, Deep Violet color for our 42-lb labradoodle to wear on snowshoeing trips in the mountains outside Seattle. She’s not a fan of wearing coats or gear in general, but surprisingly, she doesn’t seem to mind this vest at all! no awkward walking or trying to wiggle out of it. It fits her well, and she stays warm and comfortable during our outings. We mostly use it for trips to the snow when temps are just below freezing (around 29–32°F), and for that, it does the job perfectly. It's water-resistant, easy to get on and off, and works fine over a harness . Also it has some reflective areas, which is a nice bonus. With that being said, if you’re looking for something to handle much colder conditions (like below 25°F or windy Midwest winters), I’d probably recommend something thicker or insulated. But for mild cold in the Pacific Northwest and active dogs who love being in the snow, this vest works great!Photo of our happy pup wearing this vest! She absolutely loves the snow in the mountains :)

Great Lightweight Jacket
The media could not be loaded. 2024 Update: I sent my foster dog, Tyrion’s coat with him to his new family and have bought more for my dogs. Love these coats for fall, warmer winter & cool spring days. They hold up extremely well. In the video, Jack, the black bulldog (55 lbs.) is wearing a M, Oreo, black & white Pittie (72 lbs.) is wearing a L and GiGi, my 100 lb. Golden is wearing an XL. All three coats for beautifully. Oreo’s cost is about 3 years old - no problems yet.I bought this for my foster dog, Tyrion. I’m guessing this was his first experience ever putting on any doggie clothes as he was taken aback and didn’t know what to think. I bought the medium. He’s 54 lbs. and it fits well. He’s probably at the top of the weight limit for the medium. There isn’t any stretch in the coat, but the Velcro allows adjustability and a custom fit to each dog. It’s not a heavy coat, but is good for a quick trip in the backyard for potty. I’d double it up with a sweater for a longer walk in colder temps. I have this in Watercolor for Oreo, my 72 lb. Pittie & the large fits her perfectly in the sweater style and in this. Kurgo is a great brand.

Very well made jacket but the fit doesn’t work for my dog.
I ordered this jacket because we couldn’t find his previous jacket and it was getting COLD! We live in central Florida so we don’t have many cold days. My Aussie is a service dog and he has chronic back issues. I always try to keep his back warm during cold weather to keep his back from aching. The jacket is well made. It is lightweight but does keep him warm. The colors are bright and pretty and it makes him easy to see. And his vest fits very well over it.The only issue I have with the jacket is that he hates it. It cuts into his armpits and so every time it goes on, he pouts and throws a little temper tantrum. The tantrum lasts about fifteen seconds but the pouting lasts the entire time the jacket is on. Unfortunately there really isn’t a way for me to modify it it so it fits better.Kurgo always makes a quality product and while this jacket is very well made, it is not a jacket for my dog. Fit has always been an issue for him so we usually have to send a few things back until we get the right fit. We did order the Back Country Jacket by the same company and the belly straps fit further back on the torso and he likes that better. It is more expensive than this jacket but it is lightweight as well and the outer shell is made for rugged terrain and hard core use. It should last forever. If fit is an issue then I would go with the more expensive jacket. The loft jacket will end up getting donated to a local rescue for their fur kids to use. We gotta pass along the love...and the accessories.

Great coat but sizing is tricky.
I have an 11# Shihtzu and I first got him the small which fit him perfectly except it was way too short. It looked like a crop top on him. So I ordered the small but it was way to big. There is a big difference in the xsmall and the small. I wanted to keep the coat because it’s warm without being bulky and easy to put on and off.. I sew so I took a couple tucks in it and it now fits perfectly and is long enough. Great coat and excellent quality.

Great thin coat allows for mobility and adjustable girth
I LOVE this coat, and so does she! It’s fairly easy to put on, slipping over the head, and then is very adjustable with a large Velcro panel at the bottom, with adjustable panels on both side. It’s thin enough to give her good mobility and still does a decent job with warmth. It’s not going to give full belly coverage, but does cover a good portion of it. We had a top harness, and the zip compartment was wonderful for that. Unfortunately, we have an escape artist dog, who now has to wear a “no-pull” harness that has the leash connector at the front of her chest, now posing a problem for some dog clothes. I can still use this coat, it’s only slightly awkward for her and me to put on and walk, as it is pulled from under the coat. I would LOVE for them to also design with a zip or hole at the mid front, for front-hooking harnesses. Only other thing is it seems a bit short, but is still great. The dog loves it now, and it’s been durable. Heavy snow probably requires a more full-bodied heavier coat with more coverage, but even in light snow (it was snowing in these pics), it is an excellent coat, and the color and style fantastic quality.

Nicely designed
I just received this dog coat and was impressed with the design. We went for a walk today and it performed well.First, the range of adjustment was great. I was able to quickly fit this to my long but narrow-chested dog.I was really impressed that someone was smart enough to make the harness and leash access slot on the top of the coat perfectly. The opening on the top is long and wide enough to accommodate the handle on my dog’s harness but smartly fitted with top and bottom pull tabs so I can zip up the opening to the perfect closed position that works for the harness. This coat is not at all bulky and seems warm enough for moderately cold days. I ordered the sweater (sold separately) that will go underneath the coat for colder days.Nice work.
