Boxis AF110 AutoShred 110-Sheet Micro Cut Paper Shredder

I never thought I would love a shredder, but I love THIS shredder! It doesn't shred as many pieces in the front as other shredders do, but you can stack 100 pieces in the back and it will do shredding for you. You can also feed pieces in the front even as the auto shredder is going in the back which also helps. At first I thought it was too small, but boy was I wrong- it shreds paper so small that the pieces fit more compactly in the shredder bin so more shredded paper will actually fit in this bin than other shredders with larger bins. I had a 14"15"18" banker box full of paper to shred, I was able to shred everything within a few days (taking my time and doing other things). I can shred much more than other shredders especially because this shredder takes a good while before it overheats (unlike my old shredder which overheated after about 25 minutes!). I need a great shredder for home office and personal docs because I'm scanning a lot to keep on the computer but then shredding it so I have a lot of shredding every week, and I am more than confident that this shredder will help me stay on top of it! (I also tried a Sentinel strip cut shredder but the pieces weren't small enough so I returned it- I like this Boxis one much better!) Definitely recommend A+++

This shredder cuts the paper into little tiny squares. No way confidential information is going back together again. Having not had a shredder for a while I had a couple hundred pages to shred including some unopened mail etc. This shredder had no problem with any of it. The document feeder is a very nice touch. I put full size sheets in the feeder and put the uneven sized things through the front at the same time. It was very efficient to get through a lot of stuff relatively quickly.This thing is heavy, built like a tank.The only issue I had was that I used it continuously until it shut off and the LED indicator turned red. I ended up calling customer support and they let me know the unit has overheating protection that will shut the unit of if the motor reaches a certain temperature. This happened after about 45 minutes of fairly heavy continuous use. After letting it sit for a while it cooled down and I continued operations with it.It has been a great shredder since and I have put at least 1000 sheets of paper through it. Still works like brand new. I think I will be happy with it for many years.

We had a very small max 6 sheet shredder that left long strips. I didn't like it. Being an occasional user of a shredder, I got by with it. But had accumulated a pile of paper with sensitive info when I cleaned out some files from the past couple of years. Time for a new shredder. I saw a shredder on QVC which prompted me to LEARN about shredders. I came to the conclusion you only get what you pay for. We have made a dent in the pile. I love it. I love most of all the ability to put a stack of up to 60 sheets in the autoload part. It takes one sheet at a time and grinds them up into tiny pieces instead of long strips or even the cross cut size. Nobody can piece these together unless they have all the time in the world. We are very satisfied. The extra cost is well worth it. And it fits nicely into my bedroom office..

I purchased 2 of these shredders to replace dying ones in our medical office. The product description and reviews made them seem to be able to handle at least our needs. We probably run 40-60 pages a day through the shedders - which I think as "medium-duty" at most. I will say that the auto-feeder feature was a big plus and worked quite well. After a little over one year, these shedders started to make a horrible noise if more than one sheet at a time was run through. When I contacted Boxis, they said that it sounded like the gears were stripped and that, sadly, they only offer a one year warranty and there was nothing they could do about it at this point.Basically - buy a much less expensive shredder and replace it when it dies rather than spending more on this one and shredding your money along with your documents or pay the extra for the Amazon extended warranty.

This shredder can effectively shred 60 sheets at the same time you can shred single sheets. It is not a particularly fast process and after 60 minutes, you need to give the unit a rest to cool down.My issue is that staples need to be removed to insure proper and effective shredding. This adds time to the process, but it must be done so the shredder continues to operate without jamming.

Works like a dream for me. I had 25 years of old records, canceled checks, monthly statements that needed to be destroyed for security. This shredder made it much easier with the 60-page auto feeder. This shredder worked great! It may be a bit noise but that is find with me as long as it does the job.Update: I ran this shredder all day for several days. It never did overheat and worked great! I ran the lubricant and sharpening sheets as recommended. The shredder ran thousands of papers, enough to fill four 96-gallon containers. I’ve owned several shredders over the years, but this is the best so far. The auto feed makes it so much easier. The shredder has already paid for itself in the first few days. Can’t say enough good things about it.

I am an attorney who has to shred a lot of paperwork rather than throw it away so my shredder matters. I like this one and it is far quieter than my old shredder which is nice. It works great for 5-10 pieces of standard 81/2 by 11 paper at a time.They should blush at the "up to 100 pieces at a time" part. If that matters to you do not buy this shredder. Its not even close to 100 at a time.
