Voice Comm Apple IPad Mini Griffin Survivor Case, Black, Citron (GB35919)

This case will protect your investment from screen scratches and minor drops and a little rough handling. I purchased for my nine year old son's iPad mini. It fit well and was easy to put on. I had the smaller version for an iPod touch for about three years and have never had an issue. Screen never broke or scratched. So I thought this one would perform similarly. The only thing keeping this from five stars is that it is not waterproof at all! It doesn't claim to be so I'm not upset. Just make sure your kids don't touch it with wet hands or water will find its way underneath the screen. Otherwise a very good product.

Great case! I got this for my son's iPad - he is 12 and I don't want him to accidentally drop it and break it. This case does the trick.The only thing that we don't absolutely love about it is the screen cover. It's just not very clear - lots of glare, lots of little marks that don't wipe off, tiny scratches, etc. Maybe at some point we'll just remove the clear screen cover portion of the case when it becomes too flawed to be of value.

It's certainly a very tough case. I recently had indirect personal experience w/ the full size iPad version which convinced me to buy the Survivor for my iPad mini.A friend of mine found an iPad on the side of the road that had been left on the owners car roof. Despite having fallen from the vehicle at 30 mph or more, the iPad and the case were undamaged. Impressive!If only the screen protector component was matte finish, I'd give it a full five stars.

Here are some issues we had with it:* Case was repeatedly easily opened and rubber was torn apart - we almost lost the rubber Home button because of this.* Rubber camera plug was quickly lost.After owning both this and the GumDrop case, we greatly prefer the latter much more. While this gives a bit more rigidity to the iPad, it can easily be opened, rubber torn, and broken by our boys. The GumDrop case is difficult to remove and the heavy rubber outer shell is hard to beat. Compared those the GumDrop case, the rubber on this is very soft. Finally, the GumDrop case has a camera hole with a raised protective ring around it, which we found that to be much better than to worry about the camera plug on the Griffin case that dangles from it by a thin piece of rubber like a price tag, which was quickly lost and now offers no protection in a large area of the back of the case.

Although I feel the Griffin Case does a really good job of protecting my ipad. I feel that it could be put together a little better. The rubber on the back become loose with use and the plastic piece used for the stand breaks SO easy! Honestly, I wish otter box made a rubberized case.

my one complaint about this is that it makes the front camera look foggy, and makes it a bit more difficult to use the touch screen through the clear film that covers it, also the plug for the back camera is a little clumsy and difficult to manipulate. It also may interfere with the microphone I've had more difficulty with face time since getting this. It has kept the mini safe though and thats what i wanted it for.

Definitely recommend this product for your ipad, if you carry it outside and to work outdoors. However, I received a solid black case, instead of the Citron and Black case. Still usable, hard to find when you lay it down, though.

I like the look and feel of this case and how well it fits my mini-iPad. I just wish it had a flap or cover to protect the plastic film over the screen. Other than that, I think it's a good product

We get what we pay for. The fit is perfect and the colours looks funky. The case has two plastic layers with thick rubber i between. The built-in screen guard is also of very good quality. This is definitely designed for rough use. No more trying cheap cases. Griffin is the best I have seen so far.
