Sweet Valley Fabulous!
I loved the original Sweet Valley High when I was younger, and this new remake of the original classic takes the meat of the original story and makes it relevant for today's teens by adding stuff like cell phones. The only thing that irritated me was some minor tweeks in the characters. I loved this book.

Jessica learns the hard way
Once again Jessica Wakefield is up to no good. She goes out with a guy named Scott, against her parents wishes. Scott is a college guy, a lot older than sixteen year old Jessica. He drinks beer and smokes joints. He hangs out with friends that do the same. Jessica finds out that she has to spend the night on the floor one night with no one to take her home. She prays that Elizabeth makes up a good excuse for her so that she doesn't get into trouble.Meanwhile, Elizabeth is stressing out how to save Jessica's butt again. She dresses up as Jessica so that their mother doesn't get suspicious. The whole situation starts to wear on her. Her and Todd (her boyfriend) also have a fight. All in all, it was a good book. My 13 year old daughter is in love with this series. She is already on book 2.

Please Stick To Original Format
I read every single Sweet Valley High book more than once. I was very happy to see they were finally putting these on Kindle since my original books got thrown away. However I am noticing they are not sticking to the orginal story, For example; there is mention of the internet and texting (T-moble reference to be exact). These books came out in the 80s and we all know those things did not exist yet. Please do not adlib to keep up with the times!

An Older college guy
Jessica[Typical Jessica] goes out with a college guy named Scott. She sneakes off to a college beach party, and has a little beer. She doesn't come home the next morning for school,Elizabeth does both twins, her and Jessica.Jessica arrives in time for Cheerleading practice, and She said that Scott Daniels did make her sick,While Elizabeth[who pretended to be Jessica] said She threw Scott Daniels in the water because he was being a creep in front of all his friends. She made it all up of course.Elizabeth and Todd have a fight then make up again.

Good Wakefield twins drama but..
"All Night Long" is the fifth book in the Sweet Valley High series. In this chapter, Jessica spends time with an older man, Scott Daniels, who ends up putting Jessica in an uncomfortable position by taking her to this all night beach party and tries to take advantage of her. Jessica doesn't come back home the next morning, which concerns Elizabeth. The readers are a little unclear about how Jessica was able to get back home and the next time we hear from Jess, the book is almost over, Elizabeth has taken a test for Jessica and had a huge fight with Todd. I feel like this book is pretty rushed. I really enjoyed the first half of the book where Jessica is in a unfamiliar place with Scott, I felt like the readers deserved some more detail about that night. A quick read, but not one of my SVH favs.

Guilty non-pleasure at its worst
I'm a casual fan of old school Sweet Valley High. I understand that it's all fluff, but there is a big difference between good fluff and bad fluff. This revision falls directly into the latter category.Jessica, the wild 'n' crazy twin, wants to hang out with a hot college guy. But then he starts getting too aggressive for her tastes, and refuses to drive her home. Elizabeth, the family's golden girl, is tasked with convincing her parents that Jessica never left the house last night - and this entails pretending to be Jessica both at home and at school. Her boyfriend Todd doesn't understand why Elizabeth would go to such lengths to cover her irresponsible sister's butt.Neither do we. There is nothing at all redeeming or sympathetic about Jessica, nor anything interesting or engaging about Elizabeth. Nothing happens in this book to pull the reader in, and the writing is flat and lazy. A subplot about a surfing contest is thrown in to pad out the book's page count. The whole thing is as entertaining as cardboard. Do not waste your time. Instead, please go to a used book store or ebay to track down the original books, which are absolutely silly but more endearing.
