I was able to quickly crush about 5 bushels of apples with this device. It went fairly smoothly, I occasionally had to rearrange/press the apples down into the teeth as they were tumbling inside the bin and not being crushed. My apples were fairly soft, so that may have been the issue. The devices sits right on top of a bucket/barrel and nothing fell outside the barrel. A few have commented on the plastic gears - they are outside of the grinding bin and seem heavy duty enough. We'll see, but i don't think it is an issue. The teeth in the crusher bin itself are all metal. I walked a few steps away with the device on my 3 foot high plastic barrel before the barrel was full enough to be stable and everything crashed onto a cement floor. I was delighted to see there was no damage or even marks on the device.

Works well. I wish it would be adjustable as some grape berries go right through. Works best with intact bunches. Easy to clean.

This seems very sturdy build, easy to use and easy to clean. You will need 2 people to operate it, one person to hold the unit in place, the other to crank the handle. Will update once our fruit harvest is in.
