Kashmiri Hinduism
This is an excellent book on Hindu Dharma. It has commentary but it also has just the verses at the end of it. I enjoy reading the verses and when I don’t understand something I will go and look at the commentary or the footnotes.

Not accurate
While the author generally does a decent job of elaborating on some of the techniques, some are very inaccurate translations. Notably 50 and 51, which refer to the dvadasanta in sanskrit. The dvadasanta is typically regarded as 12 finger widths (or 3 fists) above the head and is where you should direct your attention. The author goes off into left field and talks about focusing on the gaps between breaths. Lost total faith in this book at that point.
