Good Day, My contractor has these same 2-way radios. They would bring an extra for me in order to be able to communicate with them. One night they forgot to bring one for me.....it was a long night for all of us. I showed these to my place of employment (we ahould have had 2-way radios years ago) but red tape is always lurking to make you wait. This is my safety not anyone else's and I made the decision to purchase one. I looked at other brands on Amazon but I liked the SAMCOM FPCN30A. After finding the same 2-way radios on Amazon, I watched and waited and a set came up at a price I could not pass up, I purchased them without hesitation. I am going into my 4th week with my own Samcom FPCN30A but the second month overall using this brand/model. I did not have to do any syncing only turn it on and I could speak with my contractors. They are of high quality and very durable. I work in all temperatures at day and night and right now it's cold with rain at times, and very dusty. The display is easy to read at night. The controls are easy to maneuver. I have banged and dropped it many times and need to get a protective case for it. I purchased 1 mic because I didn't know if I would like it but the mic makes it even easier to use for my needs. I thought I broke the clip but turns out the mic clip is adjustable. I have used nice 2 way radios but never one with a mic. So I was surprised and glad but after I had contacted customer service. They are very prompt in getting back in touch with you once you contact them and the communication is great. I had cheepos radios before; nothing this nice and didn't know the mic clip could be rotated. I thought I broke it. I also purchased extended antennas and they give me more range. If need be, the battery is super eiouasy to change. The charger holds the 2-way radio and has an indicator light that goes from red to green when it is fully charged. Anyway, if you are in the market for a 2-way radio I highly recommend the SAMCOM FPCN30A for its power, quality, durability, size, the way they fit your hand, and customer service. Regards, J.B.

I am a Culinary Professional that manages a Corporate Dining Company for a Global Headquartered Fortune 500 company in NYC. This account manages 6 floors and has access to 4 more floors for special functions. We purchased these radios recently to help communicate with our staff that deliver catering to different floors as well as handle day to day operational needs as well as a need to use them for High End catering that would take place on the 12th floor which was 5 floors away from the kitchen. I had hesitation to purchase these radios because if anyone knows if they have ever worked in an office building in NYC getting regular phone service or WIFI connection is difficult. We received the radios and tested them out and went up to the 12th floor and had someone stage in the lobby and they were sop powerful there was no problems with communication. These radios also came with personal Earpieces which helps in being discreet and non-disruptive. The day of the event we had used all 6 radios and the communication between all of them was impeccable. The reception is clear and they are easy to use. We had one issue where one of the radios was not transmitting audibly to other radios. I reached out to the company and they tried to help me troubleshoot the issue. Once they realized that the problem could not be fixed they offered to send me out another radio free of charge. To add their customer service and feedback is very quick and helpful. They reply very quickly and sometimes almost immediately after posting a feedback when in a chat conversation. Overall I am very pleased with this company and this product.

I saw some comments on here that people were excited that radio was already programmed and ready to use. At least for the radios I received, that is not the case. THESE RADIOS ARE NOT LEGAL TO USE IN U.S. WITH THE CURRENT PROGRAMMED FREQUENCIES. MY RADIOS CAME PROGRAMMED WITH SOME FREQUENCIES THAT ARE LOCATED IN THE PUBLIC SERVICE SPECTRUM (POLICE, FIRE, RESCUE ETC.) The frequencies in the radios I received have the potential to interfere with these services, which if caught can cost you some pretty heavy fines and legal issues. These need to reprogrammed with frequencies that you can legally use such as GMRS, business frequencies, Ham or other frequencies you are licensed to use. You need to order the programming cable and download the proper software to do this. I would hate to say nothing about this and have someone run into legal issues as a result. Will update my post when I receive cable and can get re-programmed. UPDATE 02-02-2021....Received programming cable this morning. Spent a lot of time on getting the Sancon software to work with the cable. Downloaded the programming software and cable driver from the Sancon site as instructed and installed on windows 7. Upon opening programming software an error shows that the serial port cannot be opened. Went into program and set it to correct port number, same result. Made sure of my com port number in hardware manager and it shows up and the port number I set was correct. There is either a problem with the driver Sancon is supplying for the factory cable sold by Amazon or an issue with the programming software. In either case, these radios still remain useless to me. I reduced my rating by another star because of this, I will probably return these if I cannot get resolved by this evening, and if I return I am going to contact the others I recommended these to and have them do the same. I believe that another six people had ordered the six radio pack so 36 probably coming back. Very disappointed so far and sorry I recommended them. UPDATED 02/04/2021 ISSUES RESOLVED. IN ALL FAIRNESS THE SELLER REALLY WORKED HARD AT RESOLVING MY ISSUES. AS FAR AS PROGRAMMED FREQUENCIES ARE CONCERNED THEY ARE ADDRESSING THAT. THE PROGRAMMING PROBLEM DID TURN OUT TO BE A SOFTWARE ISSUE. THE CABLE THEY SHIP WORKS WITH DRIVERS THAT WINDOWS INSTALLS AUTOMATICALLY SO THE DRIVER ON THE SANCON WEB SITE IS NOT NEEDED. IN MY CASE THE PROGRAMMING SOFTWARE LOOKS FOR THE SERIAL/USB PROGRAMMING CABLE ON COM 1. IN ORDER TO GET IT TO WORK YOU MAY HAVE TO CHANGE THE PORT ASSIGNMENT FOR THE CABLE IN DEVICE MANAGER. i RAISED MY SCORE TO 4 STARS BECAUSE OF THE GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE FACT THAT ALL IS WORKING NOW. STILL HAVE TO FIELD TEST THE RADIO SO WE WILL SEE IF I CAN GIVE IT 5 STARS. SO FAR IT LOOKS LIKE A GOOD SOLID RADIO, THE BATTERY LASTED ALL NIGHT WHEN I ACCIDENTALLY LEFT THE RADIO TURNED ON AND THE FUNCTIONALITY OF THE DIFFERENT FEATURES ARE NICE TO HAVE.

I purchased the six pack of SAMCOM FPCN30A radios last August. We have a small school and needed a good reliable radio that had basic functions and a long range. This radio has many more features than we need but the price was in our budget and it gave us the range and ability to utilize those features as our business grows. Recently, we were able to get crystal clear sound from 1.5 miles away from each other in a city environment. A weeks ago one of our radios stopped turning on. I'm not sure what happened to the radio. It could have been dropped or water spilled on it or it just stopped working. At any rate, I emailed SAMCOM's customer service (late Friday afternoon) and explained what happened. I fully expecting to have to jump through many hoops in order to get a replacement or having to purchase another one. They got back to me the next day (Saturday) with an email response. The email I received is below. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised, no hoops to jump through, no bs, and they didn't try to get out of replacing the radio. I also received several other emails regarding the replacement radio, like the tracking number info, confirmation that I received the replacement radio and about my satisfaction of service. The brand new replacement radio came a week ago (without any cost to us) and works perfectly. THAT IS GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! We will continue to support SAMCOM as our company grows. These are great radios and are affordable. However, the equally compelling reason they are great is because of Samcom’s responsive customer service. I reached out with product questions about my radios and received detailed responses within a day. Great job!

This is more about the CPS and a little about the radio itself. The supplied CPS "SamcomRadioFreqTools_V1.1_20230417" is very much worthless. None of the options found on other competing products. Can't assign power per channel Limited number of channels per zone Can't change or re-arrange button functions Doesn't remember off-set during code plug save function Doesn't read off-set on read function Now, the radio looks good and the "zone call" function seems like a nice to have. The battery seems to last a long time on receive only, at least a day and a half. The one radio I tested had good audio and had the correct output power I ended up returning the 12 radios I purchased due only to the CPS and Samcom's unwillingness to answer questions about functions. If you need flexibility in programming stick with the HYT/TYT, etc types. If you are only looking for something to use for the family for weekend trips, these will do fine.
