Easy to install. And yes, it's okay to have a disposer if you have a septic tank.
If you drop the steel weight from your pressure cooker into your disposer, you can retrieve it and still use the pressure cooker. Your disposer will no longer have blades, however, so you should get one of these to replace it. It's fairly easy to install, but it's unlikely to grind up steel better than the old one.

works great, fairly quiet
Our old disposal locked up so hubby replaced it with this one. It works great. The drain part is thick rubber and I wish it was open a little more because water drains slow unless i stick something to hold the drain open further. I stick a small cup in there when I'm not using the sink, to hopefully stretch it a little bit. Other than that, it's great and you wont have any utensils accidently falling down the sink.

Bought Exact one I had before...Easy Install (Except for loosening old screws on Side) Read my Tips.
By getting the exact same model...I didn't have to redo the sink top part as I had no leaks! Yay! We just unscrewed the old broken Disposal and attached the new one. (After finally maneuvering & getting the 2 screws loosened.) *We could not get the 2 screws loosened where the PVC pipe inserted into the side of the Disposal... So, I loosened the ring on the PVC pipe itself and shimmed pipe out sideways, to have leverage to get the 2 screws out using a ratchet once out from under the sink. A regular screwdriver did not work. From the start, the grooves cut into the screws were VERY shallow and no type of screwdriver would stay in, to be able to turn them at all. (This was the most frustrating part of self install.) TIPS ~ So be sure to have the right sized ratchet. *For support to catch the old unit and prop up the new one...I used a Gallon Paint Bucket with lid on, to slide underneath disposal, so it didn't drop down and fall and break to anything or hurt my hand. It was a perfect fit to support under disposal. ;-) I think I could have installed the entire new Disposal had the 2 stubborn screws been able to unscrew! (I'm a female) I had to get my neighbor to come help me finish up. He couldn't get the 2 screws loose either. So, I showed him I had loosened the side PVC pipe, and to shimmy it out sideways once the metal ring was loosened on top of old disposal using a Screwdriver to loosen ring and drop unit down on top of paint can, then to finally pull it out from under the sink and work on it on the floor. Otherwise, it was super easy to replace and inexpensive to not have to call a professional. :)

Good for light-duty disposing
Looks well made. Has an extender collar in the box with no obvious explanation on the package or in the instruction sheet or one the website. Process of elimination, it's for an alternate installation that doesn't apply to my sink. Much easier to lift into place and lock into the flange than the 1/2 horsepower unit I pulled out from under the sink. Had to adjust the PVC pipes to meet up with the disposer discharge pipe. About the same noise level as the larger disposer, but vibration when first installed was intense. One pipe connection shook loose and I had to tighten it down much more than I usually tighten PVC pipe threaded connections. After a month or so of intermittent use noise is about the same, vibration has much reduced, and the threaded connection is holding. I don't know why it vibrated when first installed and then settled down, but that's what it did. Compared to other 1/3 horsepower units this one looks better made. Priced much lower than any 1/2 horsepower disposer and big enough for the way I use a disposer. Works hard to digest half a lemon, so I just make an extra cut and feed it smaller pieces.

Operationally strong
I didn't understand the significance of the weight or size of the garbage disposal prior to buying this one. Very strong unit amd worka really well. Loud and lots of torque though. The latter causing significant vibration of aluminum sink. Very competitvely priced which ultimately works for me.

Easy install, quiet and fast
If there is one thing I hate, it's plumbing and squeezing under the sink in the kitchen does not make it any better. So when our garbage disposal went bad, it was either do it myself or call a plumber. We were happy with our General Electric GFC320V garbage disposal which lasted over 14 years and ordered this one after checking out what was involved in replacing it myself. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to install into the plumbing set up in place. The instructions were fine. It performed perfectly the first time we used it and every time thereafter. It's fast and quiet once the larger pieces of food are processed. I would definitely order another one but I hope that won't be necessary for many more years.

It is ok for a small family. The thing is that no where else there is no mention of the instrument working in 110-120 v 60hz cycle in the description of th product and it is misleading in the case of Indian custemer. The descrption of the product is not apt for Indian custemers.
