great for canning
I started canning from my garden this year and the food processor has been a true blessing. It is fast and works great for processing my vegetables for canning salsa. The quality of the machine is great, I purchased it used but it looked new in box.

Excellent product
I couldn't find the same size i had before, so i elected to buy this one based on reviews and it has not disappointed. It doesn't fit in my cupboard because it comes in 3 parts. I need to separate it out to store it away. It works great!

Highly recommend
This is the best food processor I have purchased. Easy to use and clean. Effortless snap top which takes the guesswork out of securing the locked top. Great capacity. I frequently make pesto. I would score it as an 8 for that - takes longer to get a good smooth texture.

Pretty Powerful
This is the first full size food processor I've owned. So far, I really love it. The first thing I made was homemade hummus. It came out great. I have also been making my own peanut butter and it gives you a nice, creamy consistency. I like that it is easy to put together. It is kind of loud, but not unbearable. It cleaned up nicely, I haven't used it for chopping or slicing yet, but will update when I do.The cord could be slightly longer, but not a huge deal. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars as of right now, the handles seem a little flimsy, if they snap off, it will be unusable. Overall, it seems like a pretty powerful unit and the 12 cup is a perfect size for larger amounts of food.

Great budget range large capacity food processor
I am not the type of person to spend ridiculous sums of money on a high-end food processor for the house. This nice 12 cup processor fits my needs without a problem. I had to replace my Kenmore food processor when the pulse switch stopped working. Since Kenmore no longer has the lifetime warranty, and I did not feel like futzing with the switch, I opted to buy this baby instead.Let's go over the pros and cons:PROS:1. Powerful. I can go from whole tomatoes to tomato sauce in 3 seconds. Salsa takes about 7 seconds. Bread dough riding the blade in less then 15 seconds. I have made all of these in the past week.2. Large capacity. My last processor was 8 cup. This is 12 cup.3. Easy snap lock assembly. No twisting and turning the bowl to get it in place.4. Suction cups to lock it to the counter so it doesn't "walk"5. 2 Speeds and a pulse switch6. SHARP blades. 2 blades, an S-blade and a slicer/shredder disc6. Easy to clean up. Spray all the parts with my sink sprayer and load it in the TOP rack of the dishwasherOn that last note, I saw the comments about the S-blade possibly harboring mold. I use my sprayer to spray everything out before putting it in the dishwasher. Do NOT use the SANI or heated dry mode per the manufacturer's recommendations. Once the wash cycle is done, remove the S-blade and shake it thoroughly over the sink. Using a sprayer helps to get any possible trapped food particles out of the design, although I have yet to have anything get trapped. Wipe it off and store it.CONS:1. Single piece construction of the S- Blade. I prefer two piece, but it works fine.2. I did not know that Hamilton Beach makes this with a bowl scraper attachment as well. Maybe I should have looked a little more, but my house needs a working food processor, with pulse.Neither of the above are enough for me to reduce a star in the rating so 5 star it is. It should last me quite a while, since I use a processor 3-4 times a week. If you do not need a $300 food processor, this little fellow will serve you well.

Fast--efficient--and its quite large
How timely! My food processor was delivered the day before Thanksgiving. Just in time to immediately try it out on everyone for Thanksgiving dinner. It was all fast and efficient at making a batch of coleslaw in under 30 minutes, and easy to clean right away too.I weighed in what I know so far about this machine.--Its easy to assemble, and easy to clean,--excepting some stuff getting caught in the handle and taking a little more effort to clean.--Its made of a cheaper plastic, the kind that easy to break or crack,--so handle with care and it should last awhile.--Its quite large, 16 1/4" tall,--oh darn it won't fit under my kitchen cabinets.--I researched compared with other processors before ordering. I liked this one for its easy to read push button controls,--surprisingly others didn't have that.Other processor reviews came up with problems--"Oh shoot! my chute is clogged--or missing and defective parts. But this Hamilton Beach processors only main issue seemed to be the quality of plastic. So, I decided to go with ordering it, and also being the most cost effective. I believe I've made the right decision,--I'm happy with it so far!
