Sketching from the Imagination: Fantasy

This is a great book with beautiful sketches from amazing artists. Not only does it show the sketches but it goes through different sketches so you can draw it yourself. There are pictures of the artists along with a blurb about the artists. It’s an amazing book to have Ins your collection.

Great book. Interesting sketches and illustrations from a number of cool artists. Great for inspiration. Great for causal exploration. Great for detailed examination! As with the other books in this series, the commentary by the artists preceding each section provides a bit of interesting insight into what they were thinking when they created the works. As I said before, great book. And it's a bargain especially considering how much you get.

I have both of the Sketching From Imagination books from 3dtotal and they are both excellent! This one in particular is extremely inspiring to me. The diversity of artwork, the ideas that these artists have, and their insights are amazing. If you are looking for inspiration, or just an admirer of great drawing, get this book because it does not disappoint!

Another wonderous book full of artists' raw sketches...their sketches show their thought process and how they proceed to their final pieces. There are notes interspersed by the various artists explaining how their sketches work for them or what they mean. If you love looking at raw sketchbooks, you'll love this book!

Not really what I thought it would be, which is more of informative tutorial book. But it has a lot of different fantasy artist showcasing their work in the book, which all looks really nice. I don’t necessarily regret purchasing the book, just not what I expected. Worth it though.

I bought this for my son who loves to draw and thought this would spark his imagination.It does..this is an interesting book with great illustrations. I am going to purchase a few of their other books. I definitely recommend.

This book was wonderful. It is not a how to draw book though, it is more of a reference or inspiration kind of art book. I personally loved being able to look at other artists and their styles. The book did contain small sections on the artists and their processes which was interesting as well. But I mainly love being able to flip through the book to get ideas or just to simply look at other peoples artwork on a rougher more basic level rather than the full final finished pieces.

I bought 3 of the Sketching From Imagination books from 3dtotal. Great books with great illustrations! Awesome sketches in different style! It's great for detailed examination! I'm glad I bought these books.

Full of incredible drawings and some nuggets of advice from a variety of artists, this is a great resource for inspiration, and to simply flick through and look at the amazing artwork.

Wirklich tolles Buch. Besitze schon eins, die Arbeiten anderer Künstler regen die Inspiration wirklich sehr an. Und die tips sind auch wirklich gut. Leider nur auf Englisch aber geht schon
