RUGPADUSA - Dual Surface - 6'x9' - 1/4" Thick - Felt + Rubber - Non-Slip Backing Rug Pad - Safe for All Floors

I have a number of carpets from around the Middle East, Africa and Turkey throughout my home that I purchased abroad during myriad trips, over two decades of business travel. I put my carpets away a few years ago when I inherited a couple of pets. Recently, I decided to heck with it, put the carpets back out and keep the vacuum at the ready … so glad I did and here’s the thing about the quality of these rugs: FABULOUS! Trust me, I have used other rug pads over the past two decades and these are the best I have ever encountered. They stick to my wood floors so well that even when the dog does her quick starts, fast stops, or random burnouts, the rugs stick to the pads and the pads stick to the wood floors. Remarkable! Regarding the rubber smell that people are complaining about? Too many of y’all are too sensitive … yes, of course there is an odor at first but if the pads are aired out on the patio for a couple of hours, you’ll be golden. Some of my rugs are well over 100 years old and some are on the thin side but … I still recommend the ¼” thick rugs (22mm) over the ⅜” rugs (32mm) for wooden floors. This pad thickness still provide plenty of comfort to bare or socked feet and if you go with ⅜” thickness, you need to know that the feel will be quite cushy, and if you go with ½” thick, I’m thinking it would feel like shag carpet. My rugs are all old fashioned, low pile carpets and the ¼” are really perfect! Bravo RUGPADUSA!P.S. The photo with the dog shows another new rug airing out on the patio; that’s all it takes to mitigate the rubbery smell upon opening the packaging.

This pad is very nice and quite comfortable . However,It is not real easy to cut. I had to use a box cutter and a straight edge with cardboard underneath. The pad sizes are not exact but close so my wife and I are very pleased. My new rug is quite large so I bought two pads to fit. Everything went together very nicely. Would recommend . Hopefully they hold up for a long time.

Works perfectly with my Ruggable runner. NO problem with Ruggable sticking to pad. Very easy installation. Provides a low profile cushioning. Non-slip rubber backing. Perfect! Would definitely buy again and half the price of a Ruggable brand pad.

Thick so it's comfortable under feet. No slipping around of the rug. I recommend it!

Such a great quality pa!. I was worried that our new thin rug was going to feel cheap but I loved all the colors in it so I didn't want to send it back. This pad gave it extra thickness and softness for a really good price!

I was not planning on buying a rug pad at this price but so glad I did. This is a quality heavy pad but thin enough for my wool rug. This pad keeps the rug in place without the bulk.

We recently purchased a new 12 x 15 rug. Our local HD and Lowes did not sell pads for a rug this size, so I improvised and used carpet padding. It added a nice cushion under our new rug, but we were struggling to get rid of the creases in the new rug. We love the new rug, and it looks great in our space, but we were frustrated that after a month it was still not laying flat.After doing a little research, I came to conclusion we needed a better rug pad. I was not excited about the price of this pad, but decided to give it a go. It fixed all of our problems, and our new rug now lays much flatter with minimal creases. It is not as cushy as the carpet padding, but I think that extra cushion was contributing to our challenges of getting the new rug to lay flat and creases to fall out. So while this pad was a bit pricey, it was worth the investment. Seems very well made, and I suspect we will get many years of use out of it.

Pad has felt on top and rubber grip on bottom. Feels firm. Holds rug in place on my woid floor. Seems like it will protect my rug for future. If you need to trim it, scissors will not work! I had to use a board under pad to protect floor while trimming with sharp box cutter.

A good product. Be careful of the size though. The ad says 8x10 but we received a 9x12 so instead of sending it back and waiting another week and a half I just cut it to size.
