Installation for the Light Switch was fairly easy. just turning off that switch at the breaker, examining current wiring, to determin if it is OK to install the Light Switch. You must have a ground wire AND neutral wire for installation. There is outlined in the instructions that came with the Light Switch. If you don’t have the existing neutral in the switch box you will need to pull shielded romex wire to electrical box. This typically means you will need to open holes in your wall to pull the new wire. Also, the switch that you install this on must be a stand alone switch. You can not replace two way switch (two separate switches that work on the same light). My porch Light switch was perfect for this and I already have homesmart app install on my phone, I just add the device to it, I now have the ability to turn on/off porch lights via the switch itself or thru my phone, also have schedule on/off, automatically turn on/off, This is exactly what I needed. I would recommend this product.

Had no problem wiring up these switches. I found the neutral wires in my house just like others mentioned. I had trouble connecting the second switch (they were side by side) to the Smart Life app. I am not sure if that was because of the proximity to the other switch or not. It connected on the third try and it may have been because I turned the other switch to the on position as it was off the other two times. I connected two other switches (four in total) but they were not very close to each other and I left the first ones turned on. ** updated January 2, 2019 ** One of the four switches stopped showing the green light showing it was connected to wifi after a couple of weeks. The switch works as a manual switch but no longer as a smart switch which defeats the purpose. The other 3 work fine still but my 2 star review (was 5 star) is mostly because of the customer service of the seller VegaHome. They did respond within 48 hours (I think less than 24) but I have gotten nothing but asking the same question two different ways and the last response was "Our technical support team is working to test the products and troubleshoot problems to offer you a satisfied solution. Please wait with patience and we will reach out to you in these two days. Your kind understanding will be highly appreciated!" It has been 4 days and no response. I would think they would stand behind their products. I will look elsewhere for any future smart switches. ** updated January 10, 2019 ** I received in the mail yesterday a brand new 2 pack as a replacement for my defective switch. I believe it was easy to give a new box rather than separate them, either way I appreciate the resolve. I have revised my 2 star review to a 4 star.

First time smart switch buyer here. As always, the package arrived in time, nicely boxed, as you can see in my pictures. It comes with everything you need, screws, twist connectors, even the wires are properly striped. The switches looks and feels high quality, especially the face plate which is of much higher quality than the one I got from Home Depot. The installation was quick and simple, as I have some experience installing regular switches. Once installed, pairing with Alexa was easy, no different than any other smart devices. The instructions in user manual was nice and clear. Now the kids can turn on the hallway lights by simply telling Alexa to do so. No more running up and down or flipping the switch with their dirty little hands.

I purchased these switches based on Overall Rating for it. First of all it's full plastic body so durability of switch is questionable. Installed 1 of 2 switches in pack, it was quick and easy to pair with app and make it work. It started at sunset and went off at sunrise next day but that's where life of switch ended. Next evening it switch turned ON as expected but never went OFF. I tried to reset physical switch, repaired, reinstalled app but nothing seems to fix the problem. Eventually lights are on for more than 48hrs now and have to remove that switch and work on return process.

I bought 4 and they all worked initially. After 7 months one of them no longer connects to wifi. I've tried using the breaker panel to reset the switch and that doesn't work. Very disappointed. Also these switches do not have an outer ring, so they create friction with the wall plate...bad design overall.

Easy and quick to install. Put several of these in my place. It's really improved the look of the place. Setting them up to work with my Google Home was simple and I love having the option to voice control them. It's also nice that I can turn lights on/off remotely or set them on a schedule so it looks like someone's still home when I go out of town.

I bought these because i was hoping it would help save money on my utitlty bill. The setup was pretty easy to follow, i was actually expecting it to be harder and that i would have to have my husbands help because im not really tech savy but i didnt need his help. The scedule timer seems to be working great. I usually go to work around 10, and i would always forget to turn off the lights, my husband would come home first and get annoyed that i left them on, i set the the timer to turn off the lights at 10:30 just after i leave for work, and my husbands says they are off by the time he gets home. The voice controll seems to work pretty well. We use ares with are alexa and havent had any problems with it.
