Is this just as good or worse,better than the oculus touch controllers?

These controllers are not as good as the Oculus touch controllers. They have a faulty design where the thumb pad has a little rubber disc underneath it and it gets messed up after use. It's an easy fix once you know how to do it but I did ruin my 1st 2 controllers by using too much glue. Other than that the touchpad is either too sensitive or not sensitive enough. I hate to knock this controller but HTC screwed up the design really bad. (also keep in mind if you do attempt repair yourself you void warranty)

Wait? Just 1 controller is $130?

Why is it so expensive? One of my controllers refuses to charge even after numerous resets and I'm out of warranty so I need a new one. But this is just ridiculous.

How do I pair a new controller to my htc vive?

Open the Steamvr app and click the words Steamvr at the top left. Click Devices then Pair Controller. Follow the instructions on the screen to add the new controller. When it asks you to update the controller, you can use the charger cord that came with it

Does this work with the pro?

Yes, this is the v2 of the controller as it has the thicker blue strap compared to the v1 thinner dark grey strap. Along with quality improvements, all existing base station's and the new hardware work just fine. This is the standard hand based interface for the HTC Vive system and works on both v1 and v2 base station, which are the important part, not the headset. So long post short, yes they will work.
