Wagan EL6100 12V Stainless Steel 16 oz Heated Travel Mug with Anti-Spill Lid, 1 Pack

Purchased this product to heat soups, coffee, and other liquid based foods. Works great to keep food and beverages hot. I don't drink coffee, I sip it and have never been able to drink very much hot coffee because it would get cold on me before I finished it. With this product, a cup can last me all day. I primarily purchased this product with the intent to heat soups. Unfortunately it takes about 2-1/2 to 3 hours to heat a cup of soup or any hot beverages. SInce I don't believe it was the manufacturer's intent for it to be used to heat but to keep its content hot, it does a good job in this capacity. It deserves a five star for keeping food & beverages hot.Update: had almost 2 months and connector between the mug and power plug melted. Happened at worst time just when weather getting cold. If I can’t find one at a Pilot truck stop guess I’ll gamble and consider buying another one. Hope this is a rare issue.Update 1/17/20: I later figured out why plug melted. I remember when I got home I washed the cup submerging in water. Even though it had plenty time to dry, apparently some moisture must have remained in the heating unit. This shorted the cup and melted when it was plugged up. Mfr clearly states “Don’t submerge in water” but I didn’t read. Product deserves 5 stars.3/14/20: Well my second one expired on me. Worked great that morning but when I bought a refill of hot cappuchino, I went to take a sip later and it was cold. I still believe its a good product. I don't think i'll do any better with a competitor so I'm ordering another one and if it doesn't last, then the stars will go away.

This is an edited review after experience. I liked the mug and bought another. That one worked twice and quit. Company wanted me to pay shipping to return it to China. Of course I didn’t. So , zero star for customer service or standing behind your product. My first mug died too after about ten uses. So, bottom line, product is a piece of junk. Don’t waste your money.This is what I wrote in my “honeymoon” stage:This product arrived in perfect shape in a nice box. Box says PBA free. It is very handsome, stainless steel with plastic lid. Surprisingly lightweight. With liquid inside, it is just the right weight. Cord attaches just under the handle so cord sits above any holder you put it in. As they caution, fluids won't splash out but if you turn the cup over, I think there will be some leaking around the slide opening you drink through. It keeps coffee, tea, and soup nice and hot while traveling. Heats up pretty fast: Room temp water was nice and hot when I checked an hour later. If you start hot, it will stay that way. 12V with cord for cig lighter hole. Unplug mug when car motor is off.

The media could not be loaded. Oh dont bother. I wanted to like this product (because the price was so attractive) but functionally its garbage. Why?1) the narrow base means it KEEPS TIPPING OVER, if you keep it on the base of your car or a tabletop. Little vibration and off it tips over to its side.2) the Lid is NOT sealing well. once it tips over liquid will start OOZING out from the edges and the mouthspout when its closed. Even when its tightly closed it is not sealing well3) it will take you a good 25-30 MINUTES to get the water HOT. (not boiling) but HOT to make a tea.See the pic of the mouthspout unit, its a flimsy plastic piece that does nothing to keep liquid from spilling out. and one other detail that didnt come in the photos, the base is NOT evenly FLAT. there is a small curve to the bottom, guaranteeing your mug will spill over causing a mess on the floor of your vehicle.

Update to the update: I did contact the seller through their website. Customer service was helpful and you have to give them credit for that.Update: after two months, the gasket in the lid is leaking. Every time I take a sip, liquid drips out. So I guess not so "built to last" after all.A nice travel mug that is built to last and does the job of keeping hot drinks hot. Love that it is stainless steel inside too, not plastic like some others. Depending on your vehicle console layout, it may be tricky to plug the cord into the mug since the plug is so near to the bottom and under the handle. Just check your car and make sure it will work for you. The only issue is the lid. The lid sits a little loose in the mug and it doesn't take much for it to come off. It hasn't just dropped off on its own yet, it's just annoying to have to think about the lid when I'm leaning over or walking really fast or such.

Very pleased to this product as it is my second time buying this coffee mug. I bring extra coffee with me to work as I drive for a living, and this heated coffee mug brings it up to the desired temperature. Not boiling hot, but just right. I was thinking of heating up some soup in this mug to see if it will work. 😁 it's height is just right and fits in the cup holder just right. It's lightweight because the exterior is made of plastic and the interior is metal. It might be cheap but it does one heck of a job. Good value for the money. Takes about 10 minutes to heat coffee up. Be careful with the cord as it's fragile. Previous experience with the cord has taught me not to pull it out by the cord.

Doesn't have anyway to control the temperature. My husband wasn't impressed

Love this travel mug. It plugs right into the "cigarette lighter" and starts heating immediately. I prefer this to the USB plugs. In addition, the size of the cup is just right and it's easy to hold. Am very happy with this travel mug and highly recommend it to all. Thank you!!!
