Does what it says and worth the cost.
Just started using this product and it does exactly what it says. Calms you down. I haven’t started taking the 2nd capsule yet but plan to after a bit longer getting used to the 1st capsule. Price and quality of the product is good too so gave this 5 stars. Nutricost seems to do a good job keeping its products clean, with no smells or residues.

CAUTION! Way too powerful at 40% L-Dopa!
This is dangerous! It's way too powerful at 40% L-Dopa. I took the recommended dosage of 2 capsules, and I felt like I overdosed! The following day, I felt really dizzy like I was drunk, and it messed up my ear drums which felt like I got an ear infection where I couldn't hear anything properly. The ear infection feeling went away the following day. I lowered the dosage to 1 capsule, and it still makes me dizzy like I just drank some alcohol. The following day the dizziness increased like I just drank a 6-pack of beer. I felt like was walking around drunk all day, and it affected my ear drums again. And the effects didn't go away for almost a month!!! After doing more research I have found that some doctors say above 20% L-Dopa is dangerous. And you should only take it once every 2 weeks or once a month! I think 50mg's of this would be enough for someone with normal dopamine levels, instead of the 400mg's per capsule. I will be switching to a less potent brand that has 15% L-Dopa. Or I might switch to L-Tyrosine which doesn't cross the blood brain barrier, so you can't overdose.

Pretty good product
Definitely has an effect on my energy levels. Tastes a bit weird but it doesn't last because it's in a capsule. Pretty good value.

Great, we’ll priced supplement.
Great supplement that gives you an extra boost in your step. If you can’t tolerate caffeine give this supplement a try. I take it daily.

SERIOUS SIDE EFFECT WARNING
I left the review at 5 because the brand is terrific and this reaction is not their fault. But I do want to share so others are aware. There are several benefits that led to purchasing this supplement. I always research interactions and side effects prior to trying one. I have bipolar 1 and ADD-inattentive. I take effexor, lamictal, and adderall for those dx. I also take desyrel (I don't sleep AT ALL without it), and aricept to prevent more cognitive decline. I took it with my noon meds. I thought I was having a heart attack. Extreme nausea and vertigo started after about 20 minutes and I had to lie down. Followed by severe tachycardia, chest pain, and headache. I couldn't even get up to use the bathroom. By the time those symptoms eased off, I was freezing like I had a fever, but my temp was normal. This and impaired coordination lasted the rest of the evening, but the following morning everything was normal again. I knew it acted as a dopamine precursor similar to adderall, but none of my research listed that as an interaction. Nevermind the fact that the symptoms were more similar to serotonin syndrome than stimulant overdose. Just proceed with caution if you have similar dx and a medication regimen like mine.

Not the same mucuna
In the past the Nutricost mucuna has been wonderful to help my husband walk better and freeze less. However, this last bottle I ordered contained smaller capsules with a light brown powder instead of the usual pure white powder. This new capsule was ineffective and did not help my husband walk better. He has been struggling, while I try to find another effective mucuna. I gave the review 3 stars for the exceptional performance of the past mucuna.

Really Helped Unlock My ADD/ADHD Superpowers!!! Excellent Source of L-DPOA
I can attest this has not only helped my rampant off-the-charts ADD, but my wife notes the difference in my motivation and moods, and my boss/company notes that I'm able to really utilize a fuller range of my mental abilities. In the past, my ADD was rather toxic, and led to procrastination and "other"-attentiveness (ADD isn't a lack of attention, it's getting hijacked at the hardware level, so my brain is paying attention to whatever will give it brain the most dopamine at the moment!) Despite being a "good" employee and usually, the smartest guy in the room, dopamine deprivation led to unemployment and worse. Over the last 4 years or so I started a natural regimen that doesn't leave me in a fog; and I've tuned in a combination of dopamine, creatine, lyseine and other neuro-supplements, so that I can harness my neuro-diversity for good, and it's been such a game changer! Highly recommended! - - - BTW amazon user @Faust, you need to read the label better. You gave it 1.0 out of 5 stars for False advertising., saying that "The capsules only weigh 630-640mg total, meaning there's about 2/3 the advertised amount in each pill." But it's not per pill, it's 800mg per SERVING (which is how nutrition labels are written), which is clearly stated as TWO CAPSULES. So even using your low measurements of 630mg/per, that's 1260mg total, of which 800mg is Mucuna, and ~460 is capsule, fillers, etc. The math works, and it's an excellent product. Maybe if you took more Mucuna you wouldn't be distracted by learning about the Dunning-Kruger effect.

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, RED FLAG!!
At double the suggested dose, I feel absolutely no different. Makes me wonder, especially because other reviewers have noted that the capsules contain either a white or a brown powder. My capsules are brown. Needless to say, color is not subjective. So, I contacted Nutricost customer support. They sent back an automated reply stating I would get a response in 3 days. After more than a week, no response, even after repeated inquiries. This REALLY puts a huge dent in their credibility. They can't even answer a simple question: should the powder be white or brown? Makes me REALLY wonder! Buyer beware!!
