Valuable Background Reading for Mtn Gorilla trip
This used book from a Connecticut public library was in excellent condition. It provides excellent background reading in preparation for a tourist "safari" trip my wife and I are doing in February, 2015, including a Mountain Gorilla extension in Rwanda. Despite the imposing side ("coffee table" type book), it is quick readings. Lots of side-column profiles of key individuals related to mtn gorilla conservation. Lots of full color photos of individually identified gorillas.

The perfect gift to somebody interested on Gorillas. I have been looking for a book about gorillas, and reviewed some of them. I think that this is the most complete of them.

good overview
I got this book prior to my Rwanda trip to go gorilla trekking. I found it to be interesting and easy reading and it was very good background information for me prior to my trip.

What a beautiful and informative book about these amazing, wonderful animals. Great book to have on the coffee table or just by the side of your chair to pick up and read when you've got time. Large book, but well documented and laid out. Brilliant.
