Ruger Mini 14/30 Accu-Strut LT 6" in Stainless Steel 2 Clamps

Ok I was skeptical at first. I thought no way will this do what it claims it does. It is just a bolt on part. It in no way can improve accuracy. Doesn't accuracy come from free floating barrels anyway? Surely non can be gained by anchoring the barrel? Well I tell you what, I learned a lesson here. It makes a HUGE difference. My groups before the accustrut were 2 inch or so at 100 yards. Now they are cut in half and sometimes even 1/2 to 3/4 inch. I must say that whatever voodoo this thing is....it does wonders on the accuracy of the mini 14. I couldn't hardly believe how much difference it was...like a completely different rifle (for the better). I would never have considered my mini 14 to be a range gun but this device changed my mind about it. Awesome product. I would say that every mini should have one for true accuracy potential of the rifle.How does it work? I am not a scientist, nor an expert at anything, but to the best of my knowledge it works off of harmonics. Your barrel vibrates when you shoot it. This hollow tube takes the vibrations onto itself rather than on your barrel creating a more stable barrel when firing making it more accurate. Again no expert here but this is what I can gather from my own experience and what little research I have done on the web about this product. However it works.....it does work very well. It adds a little bit of weight but is more than worth it to me. Like I said totally different shooting experience from this product. That is the only thing that I changed about the gun and man big difference. Hope this helpos someone on the fence. I would recommend to anyone wanting to get the most out of their mini.

I did not do a careful test of before and after accuracy, but my impression is that it helped a little. It certainly does draw heat away from the barrel, and that alone will improve accuracy when the barrel heats up. It is easy to install and looks great.

Nice product! Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but looks great installed. Was simple to install and didn't take long. Installed it on my target model with the heavy barrel. I do wish they made clamps for the target model with the heavy barrel. I made it fit but would be nice if they offered larger clamps for the larger barrel.

I’m a mechanic by trade for the last 25 years. I started turning the first bolt and the head snapped off I then put another one in its place and it went right in. The third bolt actually got stuck half way in. I ended up grinding the brackets off. I am very disappointed with the quality of this item and I would recommend not purchasing this product. It is now in the scrap bin and I’m out $150.

Installed this recently - they give you everything you need to get it on you mini nice and tight! I can't comment on how it might improve your accuracy because I didn't do any scientific tests before and after. I got it because I need all the accuracy help I can get and I like upgrading my mini every so often. I have a newer 581 series mini and this fit on just fine. All you have to do (which is shown in the instructions) is slide the rear clamp out 0.75" from where it is shown in the picture on this webpage. It does add a bit of weight but I don't think it's enough to effect just about anyone shooting this rifle. I love my mini-14 so this was a great addition for it!!

Although I believe that a mini14 has to have something to stabilize itself in order to give acceptable 556 accuracy. I'm not too sure that this a product that should have the price point that is does. Not that impressed.

Adds a lot of weight to the end of the barrel.

Super easy to attach,definitely adds rigidity to the barrel.The alcohol pad that comes with the Accu-Strut kit was dried out but that was easily remedied with what was in my medicine cabinet. Accu-Strut also enhances the appearance of the mini-14.Love it.
