This stuff is the only thing that gets rid of fleas in the country
I have two small house dogs, both around 12 lbs, and this is the only thing that gets rid of fleas. For others out there who think this is a bit expensive, as I do, here's my solution to that. I buy the large dog package. I take each pill and cut it into 4 pieces, first in half, then each half in half. I give a quarter to each dog every 36 hours. From my experience, I can go a bit longer than 24 hours with it, but not a full 48. The fleas will be back. So 8pm on Tuesday, then 8 am on Thursday. I hope that helps people on here. Fleas are something I absolutely can't stand, and this does the trick. The package lasts me around 15 days. I didn't figure it out exactly, but more that 12 days by giving it every 36 hours. Oh, and on a side note, I cut each pill into 6 pieces for cats. 6 cats a day or 3 every 15ish days, you get the idea. This is more expensive than the liquid on the neck, but those just do not work for me.*One thing to add*if you wait longer than 36 hours to give the pill, I've noticed that for the first half hour or so, the fleas seem to go crazy and bite the dogs more. That means it working. There are people on here that say it doesn't work, but this has been the only thing I can think of that they are misinterpreting. It will work. Then just stay on top of it, and you won't have the episodes of crazy itching.

Works Fast and Works GREAT!!
This flea medication works like magic. It starts working just like it says it does in about 30 mins. I gave my dog this medicine and gave him a bath an hour later and there were HUNDREDS of fleas that came off of him. I've never given him a bath and seen that many fleas before in my life! I was shocked. The pill is so tiny, so it was easy to put it in a little piece of ham and my dog ate it and didn't even know it was in there. This medication only lasts in their system for about 24 hours, so my recommendation is that you give them this medicine, then about an hour after that you give them a bath with flea shampoo, and then after they're completely dry, you apply the flea/tick topical that goes down their spine. My dog didn't scratch for the entire rest of the night and he slept so good! He was so happy. This is a great kickstarter, but again you definitely want to use it with other flea medications that are more long term.

A Must Have Flea Product For Fleas Between Regular Monthly Flea Medication Doses!
Fleas are bad all year round here in the San Francisco Bay Area. We have always used a monthly dose of flea preventative on all of our dogs. In spite of that, we occasionally see live fleas between doses.I keep PetArmor CAPACTION oral flea treatment tablets on hand to administer in that situation. Tablets are easy to wrap in some creamy peanut butter and give to the dog. The flea treatment starts killing fleas within 30 minutes, and continues for about 24 yours. It is easy to see the treatment is working, as my dogs are always quickly more comfortable.Note: Flea eggs on your dog are not killed by this treatment, only live fleas. I would not recommend this as your only flea preventative for your dog, but rather an extra treatment when needed.None of my dogs have experienced side effects. I highly recommend this product.

Not as fast or effective as I expected
Did not work as quickly or as effectively as I expected. It took days to notice any difference + the infestation never completely went away until we tried other means. This was for our Australian Shepherd that was only mildly affected by fleas. We were trying to clear them out before we applied the topical treatment. This product never completely eliminated the fleas but it did make a slight difference. If it was cheaper I might give it four stars. For the cost. It's not really worth it. A few bucks more and you can get a better brand that's more effective.

WOW!
As I wrote on another review, we've had the flea season from hell here in southern Oklahoma. Normally I treat everything with permethrin and that takes care of it, but this year... these creatures just didn't care. I finally found a product that seems to have killed the fleas outdoors, but that's another story. This product kills fleas on dogs, and it does that AMAZINGLY well. Literally, within half an hour of giving my German Shepherd one of these pills, dead and dying fleas were jumping and falling off the dog. I used up five of the six pills before finally getting things under control, but will be reordering and keeping these on hand for next time.By the way, none of the other treatments I tried, including flea drops, flea shampoo, and broad-spectrum insecticides, were effective against these fleas, literally the most heinous I have seen in my life, but this product kills 'em.

Works best in combination with monthly flea treatment
Fast acting and Great on flea Infestation. However, it only works on adult fleas and doesn't kill the eggs. This is what you need to know to be satisfied with this product.I use this in conjunction with monthly flea treatment. I first give to my dog, with 30 min to 1 hr. Bath dog in fea shampoo. Treat yard, patio, wash dog bedding and spray with flea spray after the drying cycle. I also spray down the house. Yes you need to do all this especially right before flea season. Some have commented the their dog continues to scratch however you need to understand that they will because they have flea bites all over their body. Think of it like this, getting bit by a mosquito and you scratch and scratch. The saliva of the fleas and or mosquitoes causes you to itch until it heals or you put some kind of soothing ointment, lotion or medication on it.Therefore, I will bath my dog once more in an oatmeal shampoo with in the week. Then I will give another pill 48hrs later then save the rest just in case there is another infestation. This product work well and great in combination of monthly flea treatment that also kills eggs and treat for mosquitoes
