These are the hands down the best knives that I have ever owned. I love that it has a built in sharpener on the knives so that you never have to worry about a dull knife. They are very durable and cut extremely well. The knives are light enough that you can chop to your hearts content, but but heavy enough that you don't have to use a lot of pressure just to get things cut. I like that it has so many different knives in the same block set, so you have a knife for everything all in one place.

Got these knifes for my husband for Christmas. He really like them. They work great. Just have to remember to wipe them off because they may have fine metal pieces on them before using because they are self sharpening. Be careful because they are really sharp. Glad I bought them really nice set of knifes. I recommend anyone to buy them.

Bought this knife set for my dad for Father’s Day and wow you get a lot for your money. The knife block is heavy, has a nice smooth finish, and of course has self sharpening, which is a nice touch. The set includes a wide variety of kitchen tools all of which being nice and heavy seemingly well made. One day I decided to use the paring knife on some strawberries, and ended up with a huge gash in my finger thanks to how razor sharp they are!

I recently purchased the HENCKELS DEFINITION 20-pc, Self Sharpening Knife Block Set for $150 (day after black friday) and overall, I have mixed feelings about it. Let's start with the positives - these knives are undeniably sharp. From slicing through vegetables to cutting through meat, they effortlessly glide through with precision. The self-sharpening feature is a great addition, as it helps to maintain the sharpness of the blades over time. However, there are a few concerns that I have with this set. Firstly, the sharpening pieces included in the block are effective, but they do leave behind metal shavings. This raises the question of where these shavings go and whether they end up on the food I'm preparing. To err on the side of caution, I find myself rinsing off the knife each time I use it, which can be a bit inconvenient. Another disappointment was the discovery of rust spots on four of the knives. Considering that this is a brand new product, it was disheartening to see such flaws. Thankfully, I was able to remove the rust spots using bar keepers friend, but it does raise concerns about the long-term durability of these knives. To prevent future rust, I have decided to avoid using them in the dishwasher, which is a bit of a hassle. Lastly, the size of the knife block itself is quite large compared to my previous Chicago Cutlery set. While it does provide ample storage space for all the knives, it takes up a significant amount of counter space in my kitchen. If you have limited space, this might be something to consider. In conclusion, the HENCKELS DEFINITION 20-pc, Self Sharpening Knife Block Set has its pros and cons. The sharpness of the knives and the self-sharpening feature are definite highlights, but the concerns about metal shavings and rust spots are disappointing. Additionally, the oversized knife block may not be suitable for those with limited counter space. Overall, I would recommend this set with caution, keeping in mind the potential issues that may arise.

The knives look great and feel great. Super easy to handle and make precise cuts when working in the kitchen. The block is a bit large so before you purchase ensure you have the counter space for it.

These are from a master of cutlery. Ours has the automatic sharpener built-in to each knife slot. This keeps them constantly sharpened. We use them at Thanksgiving. And were able to slice the turkey so then and it was perfect, every slice. We love them so much! We bought a exact set for a friend who has a cooking degree for Christmas. You will not find a better set of knives!!

Not happy with the block, something inside it broke and knives don’t seat straight, how much doest it cost, or is it under warranty.
