This instructional is for extremely unfamiliar with resin, and who want to get started. For someone touching the material for the first time, it may be useful. However there are better books out there that cover the techniques used here as well as more advanced ones.The projects are repetitive. While they vary slightly in that there’s a bezel, a mold, a doming project, they’re all more or less the same, and don’t, for example, demonstrate multi layered pours, or get into embedding and preventing sinking (glitter is a poor choice for this because it’s almost weightless.) the book mentions sanding and drilling but only cursorily. Go into why you sand under water. Show what the process of sanding looks like. Show pictures of drilling the hole. Maybe use another jewelry finding, other than a bail, like an earring wire or a screw in bail even.Finally, the projects just demonstrate a lack of taste level. There’s nothing aesthetically pleasing about the presentation of the process photos, nor the projects themselves. While it is not the books job to give the reader design inspiration, explicitly, a good how-to book does that, by demonstrating the instructor’s unique style, and inspiring the reader to explore their own.Not worth paying money for in my opinion.

I really had high hopes when He purchased this book esp. after I noticed who the author was. Lots of information for a beginner. However, I knew everything mentioned in the book that I had already learned from watching YouTube videos & looking on Pinterest. I read the “FREE” sample exert which baited me into buying the Kindle Version. All in all I’m just slightly disappointed with my purchase. Her lessons & that’s all the book is plus a few tips is available for FREE on YouTube!!!!’Just another way trusting consumers get shafted/robbed/deceived. My advice,,,,,,don’t waste your money!!!!!!!!!!!!

The directions in this book are simply laid out, and clearly written. The author speaks knowledgeably and uncomplicated about resin crafting. She does speak about her online site and sales, but only a little, and in a very up-front way.

I've used a resin product one time prior to reading this book, and I was made aware of some of the valuable suggestions that were in this book. Ive learned many more tips and ideas from Resin Jewelry Making as well as the project ideas that had even more tips. Great book so you don't waste your time and money figuring these things out for yourself! As you will see resin isn't cheap! I've made coasters, jewelry and a spoonrest. This book have me the confidence I needed!

This book not only teaches you how to make resin crafts, but the author teaches you about different types of resins, what type she would use for a specific project, and why she chose it, along with tips and hints to help you get the process of mixing down. The author also added a section for troubleshooting, and described problems you could run into, why it happens, and how to fix it. I'm giving this book 5 star because of the detail the author put into getting the basics down, but I wish there were more intermediate craft projects. Still happy with the book.

I found this book to very helpful. It included tips and techniques. I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in getting started or has done some resin work but needs more information. I like the Kindle version because I can keep it handy if I need a quick reference. Very informative and well written.

Well thought out book detailing everything a beginner needs to know about resin jewelry making. The writing is concise and easy to understand, the pictures beautiful, giving a clear idea of the finished product. The safety instructions are excellent and very thorough. Very pleased with the book.
