This bible is beautiful! My dear friend moved to the US several years ago and is fluent in English BUT has been having a really difficult time reading and understanding the Bible. She has found a couple Chinese Bibles but they usually only include the New Testament. SO when I found this one of the complete Bible with Chinese and English side by side I was thrilled and so was she! The quality is exceptional, the print is small but still easy to read (unless you have bad eyes?) It shipped relatively fast so overall I am very pleased.

First, had a $10 coupon and another $10 off for opening a charge account which made the price very appealing. The Bible was handsome and easy to read print. The only issue that I had concerning the actual Bible was the version. I would have preferred New American Standard, but this was very readable and a fairly accurate version.Arrived within anticipated time and that is always a plus.

It’s a great study Bible! Love it! Easy to locate the verses. I see someone said the paper is very thin, poor quality. Actually, I have several bibles. The smaller one, the thin each piece of paper, and the thin the whole Bible is. You know, how can you make a thin and smaller Bible with big font words and thick paper!!! Don’t be so judging! And God bless everyone who loves to study Bible and God’s words.

The Bible arrived ahead of schedule (always nice!) and in great shape. The original shrink wrap was still covering the Bible. The print was plenty large enough to read, even for my failing eyes. The outside columns contained the ESV while the inside columns had the Chinese. My Chinese friend, who had never owned a Bible before arriving in the U.S., read the first 12 chapters of Genesis the first night he had it! This is where the real value of this Bible resides, in the changed hearts and souls of those who will read it, many perhaps for the first time.This is the perfect gift for a Chinese speaking friend who desires to learn English, but more importantly needs to know the Lord Jesus Christ.

Great quality bible. ESV + CUV* are the best combination. Pre-installed finger tabs for each book of the bible makes for easy flipping and study. Leather-like cover feels great.*CUV is simplified Chinese.

The Bible itself is beautiful. I love the leather cover and overall feel.I'm a native English speaker, so I bought this to help me study Chinese. I have no complaints about the Bible. However, I wish there was some indication in the product description that the English would be British and not American English. The differences are subtle, of course (ie. honour instead of honor, practise instead of practice), but it would have been nice to know this beforehand. Also, for a Chinese person trying to study American English, this kind of information would be especially helpful.I received the Bible in about a week, so it came much earlier than expected!

Absolutely perfect - has every aspect I would want and priced incredibly - gave as a gift to friends from China and they absolutely adore this!

This version with the Chinese characters written horizontally, constitutes the largest majority of the Bibles available in the present-day China. Some wordings and proper nouns (people's names and place names) have been changed from the original 1919 version, in order to adapt to the modern use of the Chinese language. Which is clearly noted in the preface and addendum. The script is in Simplified text.
