Nice for making egg salad.

This egg slicer is complete garbage. The first time I used it, I was doing a dozen eggs for potato salad and it sliced the first 2 or 3 OK and then a couple outside wires loosened up and caught and then bent instead of slicing on the next egg. This thing is absolute garbage that can't even make it through a few eggs. I was being careful to make sure things lined up. The bent wire happened before it even started slicing through the egg not on the plastic. Although, after it bent now I can't get it to even work properly as it now can't get past the plastic to slice. Do not buy this hunk of junk. Save your money and buy something more rugged. It is also pretty hard to clean but most egg slicers are.

It is not the sturdiest egg slicer I've had, but for the price, it is fine. Functional and nice to be able to cut into slices or wedges. I'd probably shop for a bit sturdier one next time as the wires are already a bit loose after only a few uses. Still cuts though!

The only stainless steel is the wire ang the ring holding the wire, the rest of it is cheap plastic.

My egg slicer has broken after 30 years if use. It was tough to decide. After choosing this particular item, I am so glad this was the choice. First, it is very sturdy. Next, it slices, wedges and chops. Third, it is very affordable.

Arrived on time, well-packaged, and undamaged. Nothing was chipped, bent, broken or cracked. Use it A LOT for slicing hard boiled eggs for sandwiches-an easy, inexpensive way to add lots of protein and flavor. Use the wedge cutting tines for cutting salad wedges. Adding eggs and nuts to a salad boosts the protein and flavor. I usually just wash the egg cutter in warm soapy water, rinse, and dry, but sometimes I put it in the dishwasher. Either way, easy peasy. This gadget gives perfect, consistent results quickly. This is a replacement for an old one I had that was bent and a bit deformed—big improvement!

Okay but based on description I expected stainless steel and not mostly plastic.
