I got this phone for my Sister-in-law. At nearly 80 she will not touch a computer and forget a touch-screen phone. She HAD to have "real buttons". She did have a candy-bar style phone on Ting's service but that phone's charging port broke. I transferred her SIM (standard size) to this phone and she was back online.Convenience features for her on this phone are:+ Flip open to answer - familiar from previous phones she has had+ Large easy to see/press physical buttons+ Easy to read screen and outside screen with convenient clock+ Bright red: she like the color and it's a little less likely to get lost+ Included charger, cable and charging dock+ Sim installation is super easy and it takes a standard full size sim card+ Speaker phone function seems tuned for voice frequencies+ The "manual" is printed large enough to be readable+ SOS function common on most senior cell phones is here too+ The block button for junk calls (but may make it too easy to accidentally block a legit call by accident)+ Come preloaded with a list of known junk caller's numbers+ Speaking key presses - announced the number as it's pressed (great for limited vision confirmation)+ Both the included and a much more extensive manual are downloadable+ She loves the bright red color!Some things that are not as nice:- There is no documentation covering advanced Bluetooth features- The back is very difficult to remove once the battery is installed.This phone does have some nice features. Like the ability to set a custom ring tone. My sister-in-law didn't like any of the ring tones built-in so I set out to create one she described to me. Turns out this phone has the ability to send/receive files using Bluetooth and use mp3 files as a ring tone! So I was able to give her exactly the ringtone she wanted. Ta Da!This has been a great replacement for my sister-in-law's old phone and I am sure she would agree it's a step up from that older phone. It's also not expensive and seems well made for the price. It's made us both quite happy now that she has a reliable cell phone again.At a lowish price and a good physical format with this phone makes it an ideal replacement. That my sister-in-law loves it makes this special to me. This gets 5 stars from me for sure. It nails the senior flip style cell phone space perfectly.UPDATE: 11-Nov-19As will happen sometimes the ear-speaker in the flip lid stopped working. I tried some diagnosis in case it was a setting, but no, it was really broken. I called up CPR, had a helpful agent on the other end, determined the phone was broken (at 6 months) and within an hour I had a return label to send it back and I got a replacement in a few days. This quality of customer care for a relatively inexpensive product is outstanding and worth mention. If you get this phone I hope yours will never have a problem. Knowing the company who makes these really stands behind them is priceless to me. That's why I'm posting this update.NOTE: if you ever have to return your phone, but sure to remove save the SIM card before sending it back!

Phone is not easy to use for my mom and battery died all the time.

This is a nice and clear sounding phone, but the block caller button is not well placed at all, it is directly below the answer button. seems it should be placed below the hang-up button instead. It is to easy to hit on accident when a call is coming in.

I purchased this phone for ease of operation and for the emergency features. Recently activated and so far it lives up to the advertised aspects. Being elderly i am slowly going through the process of getting all the features set up and operational. I rated it as 4 star for the reason of the instruction booklet being adequate but for an older person left some features with me scratching my head until that next step came to mind, so the phone is fine I'm the delaying factor. Definately would be a 5 star phone if it had a flip or sliding cover over the sos button. I can visualize my hitting it by mistake while picking up or putting in case.

For the first time, my extremely hearing impaired father can hear the person on the other end of the phone. We have been through many phones and this speaker is amazing. Size of the buttons is perfect for normal to visually impaired people. Only complaint is there are too many steps to go through for some actions. If the phone is used on a regular basis, it would probably be fine but if only occasionally used, you might have to write down the steps. But overall, we are very happy with this phone......finally.

If it didn't work with T-mobile (which It was advertised to do), why was it rated 2-stars? A great no-questions-asked return policy. Tried inside and outside the house to connect with T-mobile using the T-mobile SIM card with no-luck. I tried calling a land-line, and a cell-line, multiple times both inside and outside, all to no avail. Very disappointing. Phone itself seemed nice: light-weight, seemed to be constructed well, big buttons, loud display, and the instant block (1-push) button. Sad it didn't work on the T-mobile network..and T-mobile connectivity has great coverage in my area.

I received this as a gift. If you want to carry this phone in your pocket or in a case, be careful. I carry my phone in a case on my belt. The battery power runs down so fast because of the front buttons. I would charge my phone overnight and by mid afternoon the battery was dead and I never used it. At first I thought it was a bad battery, CPR sent me a new one at no cost. I contacted technical assistance when I figured out it was the front buttons, and all I wanted was to lock the front buttons. That was 2 weeks ago. Every time I call I get the same story. "They are trying to help me". Unfortunately I am unable to return my phone so I am stuck. I am unable to keep in contact with my family. Thank you tech support for the support you didn't give me. As far as the touch screen, I haven't been able to figure out.

Phone is working perfectly in Spain. Went to Vodafone to have it activated, and I am quite pleased.

only just started using it, ok so far, but time will tell .
