Infapower X011 Programmable 24 Hour Time Switch-White

I bought two of these as I already had the same model and its been very good over a number of years although produced under a different company name (status as opposed to infapower) Unlike my original one the front dials on both timers were very stiff and awkward to turn ,this meant that when in use the mechanism didn't have the strength to turn the dial when reaching an on or off position. I played about a bit with one of them and also used wd40 and succeeded in getting it to switch although it did lose about ten minutes on each on/off position. The other one just didn't work at all ,I was concerned about leaving it plugged in as possibly a fire hazard and that far out weighed its security potential. I buy from Amazon because I trust the review system and I'm not often disappointed ,but on this occasion I guess I was just unlucky as all the other reviews seemed happy with their purchase.

Quality product that does the job well.

I've had several of these plugs and they're all OK to start with, but then become very noisy and fail to turn on/off.For now this one appears to be working, and if it last a year or more I'll be happy.

red LED light is nice a addition to indicate that the power is on .. I have other timers as well which lack this feature .
