Best soundcard I've used
What a piece of kit! Bought this in May 24 and have left until now to submit my thoughts on it. "WOW" I think that it even looks good on my desktop, and for something that size What a punch it performs, Just by adding it into my system, what a difference it has made, It's a good job I have some decent speakers that can handle the extra , although I don't need it very often , The clarity is amazing, very easy to set up, The control panel takes a little while to get right ( but that's part of the fun of it ) And paired with a set of decent headphones the experience just keeps getting better. All in all money well spent !!

Great sound card with good features and solid software. I've had some recent issues.
I've been using this daily for 2 years and when paired with decent headphones, I've appreciated it every day. However, I've had some software instability issues with Windows 11. There were some known volume issues, which took months to resolve and occasionally I need to reconnect the device for Windows to recognise it. It is currently stable again though. It is a solid product, but I wonder if its age is starting to show.

Very good.
I was looking to boost my laptop sound card power. It is great and can run many headphones up to 250ohms.Software could be better but it's only needed if you like to equalize your sound . Worth the money .

Perfect Nintendo Switch dac/amp
I bought this to use with my Nintendo Switch, which can be very fussy about which DACs it'll work with. For the Switch, it's a huge upgrade in terms of sound quality. Sound is much more immersive, with good detail and separation. The DSP effects work well and it is more than capable of driving higher end headphones (HD 650). I haven't tried optical out, but line out plays nicely with my speakers (MR1 mk2).Compared to the Cyrus Soundkey I also tried with my Switch, sound is slightly less separated, but the G6 doesn't suffer from the Soundkey's hyper-treble. More importantly, it has none of the Soundkey's compatiblity issues (which had frequent dropouts and distortion). Compared to the Soundblaster G3, it's as compatible but sounds much better (the G3's sound isn't a significant upgrade from on-board sound).I tested it briefly with my desktop and have mixed feelings. It's definitely a good upgrade from onboard sound, and has some nice gaming-centric features. You really need to disable all DSP effects if you're using it for music or movies, and even the limits because quite obvious playing a high quality source. Compared to my Chord Mojo, instruments lacked separation, sound stage was cramped and detail was generally lacking. So there you have it. Great upgrade for the Switch and a solid upgrade fron on-board sound in Windows. I wouldn't say it punches above its weight, as it really doesn't hold a candle to the likes of the Chord Mojo or M-dac Mini, but it's good value for money nevertheless.

Insanely good positional virtual 7.1 audio with no audible distortions or audio artifacts.
Bought the SBX G6 to use with my Beyerdynamic Tygr 300R headphones on PC as I heard the virtual 7.1 positional audio was exceptional and it's even better than I expected. I use it for competitive gaming and also for various genres of music. If you love rock then this amps dynamic range and ability to separate and place instruments using the virtual 7.1 is really impressive and I can't hear any sort of artifacting like I did when using software based spatial audio(Dolby access and DTS:X). I rarely use the audio enhancements from the apps SBX profiles as it makes everything way too open sounding and echoey but it's nice to have for certain open world games. Rear directional audio using virtual 7.1 is pinpoint accurate, best I've heard I'd say.The rubber base could do with a bit more friction as my fiio e10k's 4 corner rubber feet have more traction. The amp also gets quite warm under use so my only concern is longevity but I'd imagine Creative accounted for that and chose internal materials to suit.
