Note: This review is for the second speaker switch I received. The first one had to be returned due of a faulty volume control. I was able to get it exchanged with no problem and I received the new one in two days.The first thing I noticed about this speaker switch was how well it was made. It was very sturdy and solid. I'm running two pairs of speakers and needed a way to turn off the first pair and control the volume on the second pair. This speaker switch served that purpose and performed very well. I am very happy with this purchase.

I bought this to replace a stereo L-pad from Radio Shack from the 1970's which was starting to fail. I had the L-Pad installed in a lightweight project box that would slide off my credenza if bumped. This is SO much better. This unit is metal and has some heft to it. The pads underneath keep it securely in place. I use it to attenuate (blend in) some metal Super Tweeters that run in parallel with my main speakers. Aesthetically, this device is much nicer than my old project box, and is easier to operate.All the controls and inputs/outputs are clearly and neatly marked in white font. The binding posts are metal and are solid. Initially, I was going to use banana plugs, but realized there were holes in the sides of the posts which allow the speaker wires to be connected directly, and screwed down securely using the caps. The volume control only works with the B set of speakers, which is how I am using it. The A set has a switch, like the B set, to turn the speaker sets on or off. For my application, I did not need to connect any speakers to the A side.I am not sure why this unit was flagged as frequently returned. Thus far, this controller is working great, exceeds my expectations, and is worth its cost.

It's working the way I had hoped. I had to split my receiver's L and R outputs to Front to Left and Right, and then Surround L and R. So basically, I only needed to split to two outputs but having two extras wouldn't hurt in suppose.When I first finished cabling, I couldn't get all speakers to produce sound. It was either just the left side , or just the right side at a time. Although, that probably had something to do with the mode on the receiver. But somehow, the Front and Surround speakers all work now. All good here.

I like this, it does what I wanted (switch speakers to different locations).Might be me, but I couldn’t get #12 wire in the input. Had to cut some strands out. Someday I’ll try again, works fine like it is.I think #14 might be as big as it takes.

No problems. Functional, it's doing its job in my home studio.

When my speakers are wired through this it sounds like my record is skipping really bad.It worked fine for like a couple sides of record play the first night I got it and wired it up, when I went to use it the next day it sounded like my record was skipping super badly. I freaked, as it was a brand new record that had sounded great the night before.After some investigating, and finding nothing apparently wrong with the record or stylus, I removed the splitter and wired the speakers back straight to the amp, and it sounded just fine again. I reconnected the splitter just to be sure, and it sounded crappy again...All I'm running is an AT-LP120XUSB turntable with a 90watt pyle mini amp to 2 old (but nice) Bose 2001 series speakers. Don't understand how that could have overloaded the splitter. Even if it was a 600watt amp, how does basically a glorified speaker wire connector with no circuitry short out? Or have sound issues? All I can figure is the toggle switches are crappy?IDK. I'm just returning it and trying something else.I just wanted to be able to have one side go to my to shelf speakers and one for a headphone jack. My turntable has no headphone jack so I stripped the the RCA ends off an RCA output to Headphine jack input adapter and wired it into my little 90 watt Pyle amp when I want to use headphones. But it's a pain in the butt disconnecting the speaker wires and connecting the headphone input every time, so I wanted to be able to just flick a switch. I guess I'll try another brand.

switches make no senseSwitch number one doesnt do anything

This worked well for 5-6 years but when I tried to move and reconnect the wires the connectors started coming off (see pic). You can see two are coming off and one has completely. The wire gauge is not large normal speaker wire. I will have to order another type with plug in or screw down connectors.
