Today, these stars shine in homes, schools, and churches in many parts of the world. It also symbolizes the Christ Child, himself, of whom the Old Testament prophesized, “A star shall come out of Jacob” (Numbers 24:17). The Risen Christ, likewise, proclaimed himself as “the root and offspring of David, and the bright and morning star” (Revelation 22:16). It appropriately displayed from the First Sunday in Advent (the fourth Sunday before Christmas) until the Festival of Epiphany (January 6).

Beware: bait & switch
The headline (which contains "no assembly required") and the product photos led me to believe I was ordering a no-assembly-required star. Silly me. The star I got came in 17 pieces with 50+ teeny tiny plastic clips. Cheap, disappointing and a waste of my time.

Assembly required, but none of the parts fit together!
This star is certainly not - “no assembly required” as promised. Usually I am great at assembly, so I didn’t mind at first. However, that quickly changed when nothing fit together and the directions became impossible to follow. First of all, the directions say to “loop the light socket under the bracket”. The light socket that I received was too big to do so. Even when I ran the cord through where the tree is supposed to attach, the star won’t even latch closed as is directed. As far as I can tell, both the light socket and the bulb are too big to close the star, rendering it useless. I bought two stars and my husband and I tried to assemble both of them. No dice. I will definitely return.

cheap looking, not very bright, very hard to assmeble
for a $30 tree topper, I was expecting better quality. It's very difficult to put together and the instructions are nearly impossible to comprehend. you basically just have to figure it out. the plug I was given did not fit the bracket that is supposed to hold it in place even when it was lined up perfectly. even worse, the plug for the star ( which has a very dull glow) was unable to plug into the end of a strand of lights and too short to reach the ground. therefore an extension cord is needed. Also, the only way to attach it to the tree is....get this....zip ties...they sent like 5 zip ties...so basically I can use it 5 times then I'm going to have to buy more zip ties. I didn't even attempt to secure this thing to my tree with a zip tie, but I can imagine getting it to stay straight would have been really fun. No thanks. immediately going back.

Some assembly required.
Beautiful star! But it only comes partially assembled. (This is apparently a big step up from another product they sell, were you have to assemble each star arm separately, people said that took over an hour, yikes). This one took me 10-15 min to put together, mostly because the power cord was slightly too big for the connector clip. And there weren’t instructions for how to add the tree adaptor, so I just made something up, and it seems to work. (Push the green straw into the tube with the power cord, then apply with zip-ties to the tree). Perhaps this is presumed to be intuitive, but the straw didn’t really fit, so it’s stretching the plastic clips in a way I’m not sure it’s designed for. For now, it’s working fine and looks lovely on our tree.

Works Perfect!
We needed a lighted topper, but not something so heavy as many are. This was perfect. There were plastic ties and a green straw like device included for attaching, but it was unclear how to use this. Given how light weight it is, we just rested it on the top of the tree and kids love it. There is a little assemple required as it collapses to store flat, but it is minimal. Would highly recommend--we purchased the 12 inch.

Beautiful but hardware doesn't fit
Loved the star but the hardware (light bulb/cord) didn't fit. It would be easy to put together but the cord did not fit into the star per the instructions. It is supposed to fit into the grooves of the lamp but a plastic ridge on the cord prevented it from fitting and from being able to add the plastic strap over it which would click to hold the cord in place. Also, the plastic cuffs which are supposed to keep the star together couldn't really stay closed because the sides of the star weren't flush. I reached out to Elf Logic 5 days ago to see if I can get a replacement cord that fits but still waiting to hear back. Otherwise it looks beautiful and I imagine would last for quite some time.

Not for out doors
We love this star. There is a little assembly needed - it comes folded flat and you have to insert the bulb and socket, then fold the star around so it covers the bulb and becomes a star.We bought it because the description said it can be used outside. I wanted to put it at the top of a lighted Christmas "tree" (a pole with lights that come down and are staked into the ground). But there is no good way to attach it to the tree without fear of wind blowing it away. That is the only reason I give it 4 stars - I can't use it where I planned to use it. Instead, we will use it on our indoor Christmas tree.

Too Hard To Assemble!
I received this today. It’s God awful! Way to hard to assemble. Directions are too vague. It came like an acoridian and said to unlock . Well after unlocking it was way too hard to figure out how to snap in the cord and bulb. This is definitely going back! This company should ship it assembled. The material is plastic! Not worth $30. It’s going to be returned!
