Good read!
With a title like 'Hook, Line & Sinister', author caliber, and money fortwo great causes, how could one resist. Still, since short story format isn't my favorite, I wasn't expecting to much.Turns out, I'd forgotten how a well written short story regardless of it's limitations, can suck me in.Then there's the late William G. Tapply's contribution and a touch of poignancy knowingStoney Calhoun's character died with him.On a more cheerful note, if you're into fishing, spousal infidelity, hit men, gangs, suicide, murder, and a touch of weirdness (who isn't), I think you'll enjoy this anthology asmuch as I did.

Dangerous Fishing
As with most anthologies some good, some great; this has more great. Really it's all about authors, and this has some of my favorite novelists.

It's Ok
Some of the stories are first rate, some of them are less so. The "theme" is a bit odd, but the authors are up to the task. Just some are better at it than others.

Not very mysterious
The mysteries in the book are not very mysterious. Maybe I'm just not a very good judge of great mystery stories but no story in this collection had me waiting with bated breath for the conclusion. The stories were interesting and well-written, just not very good.

Oops
Evidently I didn't read the small print, because I was not aware that this was a book of short stories. Although I am a fan of T. Jefferson Parker, I don't normally buy or read short stories.
