Can this sensor be attached to the machines internal flood hose?

Not sure what the internal flood hose is but if the sensor can be submerged in water then it should work just fine.

Can I place the sensor on a waste tank where the sink pump is pump is? I'm more interested in making sure the waste tank doesn't overflow when the was

The WasherWatcher sensor design isn’t really intended for sewage applications. However, the HC3000 Highwater Shutoff should work well for your application.
