Looks good, although magnet is on a weak side
This cover plate looks great, much better than printed ones. Due to design, the magnet is at the bottom (using a battery from remote as a metal counterpart) - not in the middle like in original plate. Basically, this is a design choice to make manual switch available as well and there is nothing you can do about this. So not removing a star, as was prepared for this and this is a downside of the category and not the particular product. Just don't expect the same holding force as original plate has.The only negative comment is that remore is a bit wobly inside, a bit of soft rubber could help.

Problematic with MK switches
Great idea but doesn't fit right against the wall if using both magnets ( 2 magnets is advisable as one magnet is too week ) when used with MK light switches. I had to use those plastic covers that cover the wall around switches to make up the gap between the wall and this cover ( about 1.5mm gap all around this cover when used to cover an MK light switch when using both retaining magnets ). Fits ok with the addition of the extra plastic wall cover ( about 2 quid from Homebase ). Functionality is great but both magnets are needed to hold the switch to the cover. This basically spaces the cover away from the wall if your current switch is curved or thick. Other than that.....great ! Will be buying more in the future.

Excellent, Best on market yet!
I've had most of the other brands, and nearly all of them are 3D printed and rough looking (textured surface).Makes them look like a DIY job, well I suppose they are! These are far better 'injection molded' type and therefore smooth and precise. The only thing you will need is a lightswitch that is not too deep. Although small washers/packers are sent in case the switch is too shallow, I personally swapped my switches out for BG light switches as they are pretty shallow. This hue dimmer mount works perfectly in this instance with a better and firmer fit than with the 3D printed ones.My only grumble is, I wish they'd make an even shallower version too, one that you can use with flush fitting light switches (couple of mm proud of wall) this way we could install much nicer looking and less deep hue mounts.

OK, neater than my current blu-tac to the switch solution
These are ok, not great, they're not quite deep enough to cover a standard switch without a mm or so gap, also the screws that are supplied are waaaay too long and stick out miles if you try to use them, and the original screws are too short. Also, the magnets are rubbish, way too weak to hold the switch in with one magnet, use the second one and the switch will stick, but it won't fit in the holder properly, and you have a random coin magnet stuck to your light switch if you remove the dimmer which looks rubbish. Fortunately I like my light switches to stay where they are, so I just used the single magnet and a couple of blobs of blu-tac to hold the dimmer in place. Still can't believe there isn't a better solution to this problem though!

The best option currently available
I've tried several of this style of mount, this is by far my favourite. The plastic is the highest quality as is the mould. I see a few people complaining that the magnets are not strong enough but I have certainly not found this myself. I wish the seller would consider making one with an even lower profile, the light switches I am using only protrude from the wall by a couple of millimeters so there is plenty of room for this to be shallower and still fit comfortably.

Just the ticket with a dimmable Philips Hue bulb
I have a nice industrial style Philips Hue bulb in my living room but my wife would still turn it off at the wall most of the time, but I mounted this over the switch (with an easy available magnetic adaptor) and now the light is always smart-controlled. Just what I needed.

Good with minor irritations
The item does what it says. One of better switch covers for the Hue dimmer. Not so good on thicker older switches. Works best using provided spacer washers.Dimmer unit sits a bit loose in holder with magnet fitted low down.

Disappointing fit
Chose this item over others as I was looking for a slim fit modification to my existing light switches. however you should be aware that the magnet for this item is just in the bottom section which forces the remote control to rock every time you press the button at the top of the remote. Very disappointing and very annoying as the light switch now clicks every time you use it and rattles around in this housing. fit is nowhere near as snug and precise as the original Philips housing so looking for alternatives already to be honest.
