Hey folks,The broken inset in my chair was stuck deep in the chair frame, and I first ordered a different brand insert for same. The next day after I placed the order, I measured the chair frame again and thought I should order the Chromecraft insert instead. Getting the stuck insert out of the chair was rather difficult, but when it did come out I was certain the Chromecraft insert was the right choiceWhen the Chromecraft insert came, I watched a couple of YouTube videos, and the insertion was quite easy using a rubber mallet. I had a patio swivel chair that had gone wobbly. The manufacturer no longer had replacement parts so I went in search of an insert. The design of the original was different, however, all dimensions matched this one. It took all of 5 minutes to install and after doing so, I think it might just be a better design. Fixed the wobble, now it swivels easily and it is just like a new chair. I'm glad I ordered and extra because I think I might just proactively replace the insert in my other chair instead of waiting for it to go bad. Check your dimensions. This was on point dimensionally and it was a tight fit, but it did fit. I couldn't be happier with it.

This product had an EXTREMELY tight fit. Had a very hard time getting it into the two inch pipe (pedestal for chair). Two pieces of plastic actually broke off of the insert during install. Although there is a little bit of wobble in the swivel chair, it will probably/hopefully work for a while.

Same review is before. High priced but worked to stiffen my kitchen chairs. I'm stuck with what is available for the brand.

FIRST, I CHAMFERED THE ID OF THE TUBE AND ALSO DEBURRED THE WELD INSIDE THE TUBE. I USED EMERY CLOTH ON THE BUSHING TO MAKE SURE IT WAS SMOOTH. I HEATED THE BUSHING UP JUST A LITTLE BIT AND IT DROVE IN EASILY. A PERFECT SNUG FIT.

The insert is a tiny bit larger than listed and my chair pipe, but grease and a rubber mallet got it in. A few bits of the plastic needed to secure the chair broke, but there are others that will hopefully make up for them.

For 11.00 we fixed a chair that would have been $100 to have someone else fix it. Found U Tube video. That showed us what we needed and how to do it. Amazon came through with the replacement piece. Thanks Amazon!!
