How do you clean the Slotdog?

It's a little tough to clean because it's tough to get into the steel cutting grid. What I do is soak it in hot soapy water for a while, then use a scrub brush to remove any remaining particles. There aren't usually any large bits of hotdog stuck in there, as long as you're careful how you pull the hotdog off after scoring it. Instead it's pretty much like how dirty a knife would get cutting a hotdog. Which is not very dirty.  We love our Slotdog.

Question 2

In your honest opinion, is slot dog better than curl-a-dog? With the price difference, I'm not sure I want to order slot dog unless it's really worth.

There are quite a few advantages of SLOTDOG over spiral cut dogs. A few being the fact that spiral cut hot dogs stretch out losing rigidity and can fall apart easier when taking them off the grill, they can also hang out of the bun whereas SLOTDOG hot dogs plump up rather than stretch out so they stay more intact, you also get more surface area on the edges which crisp up nicely and they do like better! Will it work on quarter pound hot dogs

i am not sure but if you are strong enough and press down hard enough and don't mind flattening the dog a little it might - it will certainly make some groves in the dog that you can then go back and cut deeper with a knife - i usually get tired before i run out of dogs - good luck.

How do you clean it ? i don't want to spent 20 min soaking and cleaning who has that kind of time for a hotdog?

Dishwasher. If you make a hotdogs for a long time, you can put the Slotdog in a bowl of water between each hot dog.
