Good Tidings Cinco C-148 Classic Tree Stand For Up To 10' Trees, Medium, Green

I was recently married and coming upon our first Christmas - I needed to purchase a tree stand. Looking at local stores, the prices ranged from $40-$60. Too much for me to spend on something that is used for 3 weeks out of the year. I looked on Amazon and this one was rated well and priced right. I am pleased with the construction quality of this stand. It is not flimsy nor made from a thin plastic. The setup process for the stand is simple and holds a tree snuggly. Adjusting the tree (5ft) so it stands straight is also very simple. A twist of a screw on one side or the other should be all there is to it. Early off, I had to fill the stand with water every other day, but as the tree started drying out - only every 4 days or so. It holds a good amount of water in case you need to head out of town. The width of trees it can hold is also generous. Your tree would need a tremendous girth to actually fill the stand, so feel safe in buying 10-12 foot trees with 8-12in trunks. A nice 10' 6" Douglass Fir - freshly cut from a local farm and transported home. Family and friends gathered to sip apple cider and help trim the tree. Imagine our disappointment when we opened the Amazon box, pulled out the tree stand, removed the bag containing the hardware, carefully cut the bag open and emptied the contents onto the kitchen table only to discover that we were one square nut short - an essential element missing and making the stand completely unusable. Double checked the bag - no holes in it. Checked the Amazon box, no errant nuts. Triple checked the table and all around it. Nothing. The bolts that hold the tree in place have extra wide, unconventional threads - so nothing in the junk drawer of misfit hardware, nails, nuts, and bolts is a match. Imagine having to drop everything and head off to Lowe's in search of a single nut. No joy because it's an EXTRA wide thread - not even Lowe's carries it. Soooo - we end up recreating the whole bolt mechanism with a big Eye-Screw and matching nuts that have a standard thread count. Thank you Mr. Lowe's hardware dude. In the end, the tree stand works great - it holds our monster tree in place - one that has an 18" circumference at the base. If I had it to do over, I would have purchased the 10-12' tree version of the stand. Just a little too close for comfort on the trunk size - and no telling if next year's tree will have a slightly wider base. Keep your tree height to 10' as the product advertises and you'll be fine. We used a rubber mallet to gently set the spikes in place once centered - and then tightened the bolts before standing it up. Perfectly straight on the first try. Perfectly stable. It's just frustrating to know that someone's job was to count out 1, 2, 3, 4 square nuts - and knowing that they completely blew it. You're standing there with a freshly cut Christmas tree - surrounded by friends and family - and a product that is unusable as delivered. Yes - we could have contacted Amazon and I'm sure they would have made it right - but at the cost of completely ruining the tree trimming party. The only recourse was to spend money and precious time with family and friends time to make the thing usable. Great product - but whoever is in charge of bagging the hardware needs to watch Sesame Street - and pay particular attention to "The Count" segments.

Made of strong durable plastic. Provides the balance and sturdiness required to support a Christmas tree. The reservoir is rather large, so you only have to fill it up twice a week worst case scenario. The one thing I found a little odd with the design was the bolts that hold the tree in place. At the end of each bolt, a nut is added and its threads follow the opposite direction when screwing the bolts in place to hold the tree which is great. The nuts tighten to the end of the bolts and the tree is sturdy in place. The problem is when you go to take the tree down the nuts get stuck to the tree trunk when you unscrew the bolts as the threads follow the direction of the bolts being unscrewed. This required me to get get a set of pliers to pull the sap stuck nuts off the tree trunk. Despite, this being of minor concern I wanted to point it out to potential buyers. Overall, this is a quality product and I hope to have it for many future Christmas seasons.

This is a really nice tree stand. Actually, for the price it's fantastic! It was a little larger than I expected, but that's not a problem. The tree stand is easily adjustable and will fit a large variety of tree sizes. I tell you, a tree will NOT move in this thing. Sturdy plastic, strong bolts, spikes to hold the cut end, and then filled with water? You can rest easy. Also, given the volume of water this will store, you won't have to constantly check the water level. If you're looking for a tree stand, I can definitely recommend this one.

This will be the third year I have used the medium size tree holder. It is sturdy, and have never had any problems with 8-9' trees. I am very pleased with the quality of this stand. It is sturdy, and not made from a thin plastic. Setup is a breeze, a slight adjustment from one or two of the rods should be all you need if not perfectly straight after initial tightening. Last year, I somehow misplaced one of the square nuts that the metal rods tighten into. I emailed the manufacturer on Sunday and asked how to acquire another one - I could not find a replacement in any of the big box stores. I received an email the next morning that they were mailing one out, free of charge. EXCELLENT customer service, I would not hesitate to buy a product from Cinco Plastics again.

Are you kidding me? $50 for a plastic tree stand. I paid $17 for the exact same stand 9 years ago on this site. Talk about gouging!

That’s the best tree stand for large Christmas trees (ours was about 2.7.m). Sturdy, doesn’t leak, easy to use. Product is made in the USA rather than China - love it.

Bisher hatten wir jahrelang einen Baumständer mit so einer Art "Seilzug" und einem Fusspedal zur Arretierung. Ganz kleine Bäume bis vielleicht max. 1,80Meter sind dort auch noch gut aufgehoben. Wenn man aber einen größeren Baum stellen will und eventuell noch Hunde und Kinder hat, dann kann ich diesen Baumständer nur empfehlen. Unser Baum war unten leider schief abgeschnitten. Normalerweise hätte ich beim alten Baumständer erst den Stumpf gerade schneiden müssen. Nicht aber bei diesem Christbaumständer. Baum rein gerade halten, gegenüberliegende Schraube gleichzeitig festgedrehen, fertig. Der Baum steht FEST. Fazit: Nachdem wir unseren Baum aufgestellt haben, durfte ich meinen Eltern sofort auch sofort einen neuen Ständer bestellen. Update: Lieferung wurde kurz vorab storniert. Daher erneut bestellt. Jetzt kommt der Ständer erst nach Weihnachten. Zweites Update: Der Baumständer ist tatsächlich noch an Heiligabend eingetroffen.
