This laptop tray is excellent. I really like how it’s made—it feels sturdy and works exactly as expected. The only minor downside is that adjusting it requires an Allen key; I wish there were a built-in adjustment mechanism. That said, once set up, it stays securely in place and functions perfectly. Highly recommend for anyone needing a stable, adjustable laptop arm.

I tried several different desk arrangements to optimize my setup for my three primary computer tasks: reading (RSS/email/web); photo processing in Lightroom; dabbling with music via MIDI controllers and virtual instruments. After trying a few different stands, I saw this tray mount at a great price, and figured it was worth trying to see if it would give me the flexibility I was looking for - basically, to have my 14" MacBook Pro close to my aging eyes for working with HDR photos in Lightroom, but then be able to have the laptop out of the way for other tasks that don't require that screen, all while allowing me to eliminate any consideration of leaving desk space for the laptop. After trying a few different mounting points on my desk, I found a spot that fulfills all of those requirements. Setup was pretty straightforward, given the requirements for secure placement, and I finally have an arrangement that I can optimize for whatever I happen to be doing with the computer at any time. The only small issue I have with the tray mount is the connection between the arm and the tray. A bracket attached to the bottom of the tray slides over the end of the articulating arm, with one thumb screw to secure it in place. That all works well enough, but the tolerances between the piece of the arm that slides into the bracket and the bracket itself are too great, which allows the tray to rock side-to-side a bit more than I'd like, and can make the tray hard to level if a crooked display bothers you. I managed to solve this with a couple of small metal strips that I happened to have around, using them as shims to prevent the wobble and level the tray. Overall, especially for the price, this is a very solid solution to common desk arrangement issues. I'm tempted to grab another one to give me flexibility in placing my 27" 4k display, whose stand restricts placement of a couple other things on my desk and doesn't allow me to get the display quite as close as I'd like it to be.

I looked at all the keyboard dedicated mounts and most reviews had issues. So I ordered this to put my 17" keyboard on. This thing is heavy duty and even though narrower than the keyboard but the bottom lip holes it right in place and is perfect for what I was looking for. My desk has a rounded front and I have three monitors. The one on the left is my work monitor and since that placement means I had to lean over to type on the keyboard all day. I'm a systems/software engineer and work from home full time, so needless to say, my back, neck and arms would get sore after a days work. In comes this fantastic arm with a perfect length. Once extended it places my arms in a perfect position to type when I'm sitting straight up in the chair. So it's a winner for those with awkward situations like mine. One thing to note is, the price is great, but it comes in a lot of pieces, so lots of assembly to do. Instructions are good but tiny text so at my age, had to squint to see which screws I needed. The arm is strong and stays steady and swivels to the side of the desk when not in use. Build is heavy duty and stable if you tighten things as they are supposed to be. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone needing it for a laptop or keyboard. Nicely machined and solid.

Easy to setup, great for my macbook, very sturdy making me comfortable that my laptop wont fall off. I have noticed at times that the screws on the bottom become a tad loose at times but just a sleight tighten and its good to go

Just installed this on my sit and stand desk. Love that there are multiple ways to mount it and that they are all very sturdy. Appreciate the detail of having a space to hold the Allen wrenches so that they don’t get lost. Would have been nice if a small wrench and Phillips driver were included to mount the laptop tray.

My son feels like a computer wizard with this stand it at a great eye for a laptop. The strange thing is he is a computer wizard.

Very happy with this for the price, easy to put on the desk and seems strong and stable, has no issues holding up a heavy gaming laptop. No overheating issues either.
