Works great for plastic models
Saw this on a model building site, bought and it works perfectly. Lays down even, looks great and builds a nice foundation for painting on top of it. This is the only primer I use for my models now, especially as a primer for light blocking using chrome on top for the internal pieces. Quality product, reliable name brand, and looks good even if you leave it as a Gray rough finish on your parts

The Gold Standard
This is simply the finest primer that I have ever had the pleasure of using. Consistent quality, and it gives a variety of paints a fantastic surface upon which to adhere. If I ever find a better product I’ll use it, but until then, this is the best that money can buy.

Nice fine grained primer
This is an excellent primer for miniatures, models, small resin or brass item. It is close to the old floquil primer. The fine grain does not fill in fine details on small items. It requires little to no sanding and covers easily with most paints. For hobbyists working with small items especially metal or resin this is a great primer.

Best primer there is for modelers
I never use anything but Tamiya primer. Goes on smooth and gets consistent results every time.

Paying premium for premium quality. Buy an extra can.
My TLDR of my review is - your paying a premium for a premium product. Order an extra can if you're new to paintung.I"ve taken the plunge and decided to get into painting Gundams. I spent the better part of a day to research what to use and the general consensus was to use Tamiya brand Laquer base products. I'm using this to paint a RG Sazabi. This stuff is amazing! The only downsides to this product is how much paint you're actually getting and the high price. Because of this I'll probably buy an air brush kit to paint. I've used about 1 1/2 cans of this primer to cover the parts I'll be painting. So if you're like me, with little experience, be sure to buy an extra can. I ordered two because I figured this would happen and I'm so glad I did. The stuff never clogged and never sputtered.
