I will never over water 💦 my plants 🌱 again!!!
This is the absolute perfect tool for new plant parents who have anxiety over whether to water their plants or not. All the guessing is completely removed. All you have to do, is stick this in the planter until it hits the bottom, water the plant... and voila!!! The meter section turns blue, and you do not water the plant again until the meter portion turns white!!! It comes in three different sizes ( s/m/l ) and you select the size that correlates to the size of the planter. I have to purchase more as soon as I get a couple more plants!!! I absolutely recommend this product!!!

Misleading. It's more of a water level sensor not a soil moisture sensor
I planted it in soil as soon as I watered my plant and the sensor changed colors, that's the only reason this gets 2 stars. Now, the problem came afterward. The next day the sensor was saying that the soil had no moisture (changed from blue to white). After watering the plant, the sensor went blue but not even a few hours later it turned white again. I can understand if the environment is dry that the plant will need water more often but this plant is in an environment with 50-60% humidity and is not that big. Even when you touch the soil it still felt wet. I fear if I water the plant to satisfy the sensor I will end up with a plant with root rot.

Easily the best tool for keeping my plants alive.
Update 2/2022: these are still working in my cactus. That's good.2019: Been using for a few weeks and no problems. They are changing colors as they are supposed to. Easily the best tool for keeping plants alive! Not sure if they really work. I watered my plants and put in the stick but it never changed colors. I decided to get the top wet and it changed to blue. Now I wait to see if it will show when to rewater and if I have to soak the top every time.I will add more in a week or so when I need to water again.

A Life Saver (plant life, that is)
These aquameters are great! They have saved the life of a few plants as I tend to over water. They are so easy to use: 1) push them into the soil, to the spot indicated on the stick, 2) water the plant, 3) wait a few minutes for the stick to absorb the water before it turns blue, and 4) keep an eye out for when it turns white - the cue to water again. They last about 3 months. You can then order replacement wicks or buy more aquameters. They even work well in the plants hanging outside on my covered deck.My orders have always come quickly and without issue.

Keeps my plants happy!
I'm a chronic over-waterer, so I use these for some of my fussier plants, and I haven't had one get sad or die on me since! Basically, you stick it in the soil, about half way between the plant and the edge of the pot, and water normally. The stick will turn *blue* when the soil is moist, and it will fade to *white* as it dries. When it's fully white, you know it's time to water again. Easy! It's great for when the "finger test" feels uncertain, and for when you've repotted something and aren't sure how the new soil will behave. I don't think you need this for every plant, but if you're having trouble with some fussier ones, give it go.

Works! Wish I had more!
I have some plants that constantly need watering, and others that barely need! The IPPINKA Sustee Aquameters are so practical! (Tip: Once inserting it into soil, give it a minute to read accurately the moisture level in soil.) Design wise, I like how discrete they are! Now I just need more for the rest of my plants! (This is more convenient rather than those Plant Soil Moisture Meters. You don’t have to be stabbing the soil everytime, instead this meter just stays put in your plants soil and reads overtime).

These work
Simply put, these work. I even validated them with a digital moisture sensor. They go white when the moisture level gets down to about 15%. So, for a high moisture plant like a palm, you may want to water at light blue.

Several plants died for excess of watering
My plant died from water excess, the aquameter shows completely white and the soil was completely wet.

White cotton does not all turn blue just a thin line like a pregnancy test.
If you need reading glasses, you'll need them to see the blue line.

Work well
Work much better than the other 3 types of moisture monitors I tried from Amazon.
