Fantastic lock! Easy to install, even if you're bad at DIY 😄
This is a fantastic lock and I honestly can’t recommend it enough. It feels very secure and reliable, exactly what I was looking for. The instructions were really clear and easy to follow – I usually struggle with DIY, but I managed to fit this on my bin without any problems at all. The best part is that it didn’t require any tools, which made the whole process quick and stress-free. The lock itself is really sturdy and gives me full confidence that it will keep the bin closed and safe. It doesn’t feel flimsy in the slightest – you can tell it’s been made with quality and reliability in mind. On top of that, the company included a little bag of Haribo with my order, which was such a thoughtful and lovely touch. It really shows they care about their customers. I would 💯 recommend this lock and the company to anyone looking for something strong, easy to use, and dependable. I’ll definitely be buying from them again in the future. Thank you for such a great product and brilliant service!

Brilliant and simple
Simple and brilliant answer for those not wanting to have to drill holes in their bins etc. Yes OK someone with a crow bar can simply tear this off but then if you have neighbours willing to do that I think Wheelie bins are the least of your problems. The icing on the cake is that, at least I did, also got a little packet of Haribos with the parcel :-) Oh and not only that you get a small bottle of oil for lubrication of the lock and a key fob for the keys. They have thought of everything

These are good on the right bins
I ordered a couple of these to be delivered to my mother’s address as her house is more secure with a porch etc. When they arrived I tried fixing them on my mother’s bins first to test them out. They did not fit! So they do not fit every bin! They only fit the comb style wheelie bins, they don’t fit the old diamond style wheelie bins. As long as you have a compatible wheelie bin I would recommend these wheelie locks. The clasp of the L shaped metal bar that moves up and down can push up under your bin lip, then you simply push the bin lid down and insert the padlock into the highest hole on the L shaped bar. Comes with clear instructions. No tools necessary. And takes seconds to put on when you get used to doing it. After a couple of weeks, so far so good for me. *Update April 2nd 2026* Just a quick update…. after using this product for 10 months. I had to replace the padlocks that came with this product after around 6 months. The rubber casing on them was causing problems, making it difficult to operate them, and rusting had started. I’ve been using these padlocks (see below) for around 4 months: https://amzn.eu/d/0g8vUtQG And they’ve been very good. They haven’t rusted, and are a lot easier to operate than the original padlocks. Mainly because they have a larger U bend on and no rubber casing getting in the way. Few little tips - Have a small tin of wd40 at hand. I’ve only had to use it once in 4 months with the new padlocks. But they’ve been through the worst of the winter and are still in very good condition. If you do have to replace the original padlocks that come with this product and don’t use the padlocks I’ve recommended above just make sure the padlocks you go for aren’t too big/thick to fit through the holes. When securing the padlock, hold it all in place and push the bin lid down HARD, at the same time push the padlock through the highest hole available. It’s best when only a bit of the hole is on show, you think you won’t get the padlock through as there’s not enough hole on show. But if enough force is used when pushing the lid down even if only a bit of the hole is on show you can wiggle these padlocks through the hole. Leaving it a much securer/tighter fit. If even when forcing the lid down you can’t see none of the top hole at all and the next hole down leaves the whole thing wobbly and not very secure, try moving the whole thing to the left or right of the bin lid slightly. The higher the hole you can use the tighter it closes the bin lid down. Making it feel very secure! I have mixed feelings now with this product. I’m a bit peeved I had to buy my own padlocks. But saying that, now I’ve learned how to use this product more efficiently, it’s really good now. So eventually I’m very happy. It does a very good job now of keeping my bin lids VERY firmly closed and locked. I don’t foresee anyone being able to remove these without keys.

Works well...
The product itself does what it says it secures your bin lid. It's just a shame that my a-hole neighbour still managed to rip it off and dump their rubbish in my bin. Only way to truly stop them doing this is to drill and attach the bar to the bin which defeats the purpose of it being attached without drilling. The lock has already started rusting so will prob need to buy a new one. Over all good lid lock just a shame that with some force you can rip it off the bin. Not sure if I want to put it on again with the risk of it being ripped off. We were lucky they just threw the lock in the bins next to ours and we could retrieve it as they are quite costly. Will probably have to drill it to my bin to stop them ripping it off.

Saves me trips to the dump!
Does exactly what it says on the tin - secures my little wheelie bin (which is in a communal bin store) so my neighbours can't fill it with their rubbish! Easy to use, sturdy, completely adjustable with a good weight to it. I've had it quite a while now but the bin is very rarely out in the elements so I can't comment on how it holds up under wet conditions. I don't know why more people with communal bin stores don't use these things, they're genius!
