Great classic book, well written with so much valuable & fascinating advice.

I searched everywhere for a copy of an even older edition which I had borrowed from a library when making my wedding dress and after reading reviews of this edition on Amazon decided to buy it. The book is an absolute boon and must-have reference work for anyone wanting to make clothes: there are plenty of instructions on fitting, lining etc and although the photographs of garments are a bit dated many of them are classics. Well worth the money: you will save it quickly by avoiding mistakes and getting a superior professional finish to your projects. The writers do not assume knowledge but nor is it patronising.

Good book easy to follow

An amazing book! Everything you could ever want to know about dressmaking. I can't praise this book enough. I'm fairly new to dressmaking and this is one of many sewing books I own but it is the one I use the most.

The condition of this book is better than expected from the seller's description - it's just about perfect. I have (and love) the previous, hardback version and the additional material in this one is so useful, bringing it up to date with the new fabrics and techniques now available. Amazing value for money.
