I got this for electronics work. The stand isn't usable for me, but the quality is *far* more than I need. It can zoom in extremely close and provides clear images. I had to retrofit the ball mount into another stand that allows me to move it around the helping hands or vise I'm using. To be clear, when looking at my mousepads I can see the individual fabric stitches and they look like the Grand Canyon, and you can see tiny particles inside that I can't see with my eyes whatsoever.

Pretty much what I was hoping for tbh: good zoom (well beyond what I can see), acceptable focus distance (I can keep the clear collar on almost all the way), and absolutely no custom software needed at all. Just get a generic usb-webcam app, any desktop OS should immediately recognize it.I honestly have no idea what the buttons are supposed to do because I don't use Windows and nothing seems to respond to them by default, but it hardly matters. Pressing them would shake the image too much to get a useful picture, and it's not going to do anything but a digital zoom which is basically worthless, so I don't care one bit.My only real complaint is that the cable is not separate / there's no USB port on the camera..... but that's easy enough to repair if needed and I get that it saves money. It's fine for the price.

This product is pure trash (Wonder why? it is designed and made in China). The stand is so flimsily that you might as well just toss it away. Even the manufacture is admitting it in their product catalog that comes with it. It is so bad they are offering a better-quality stand for “discounted price”. The magnification barrel is extremely difficult to work with. The plastic focus knob is very sensitive which makes it hard to get the right focus point for clarity. You end up just turning it back and forth a million times to get an Ok focus.China is really ruining the world with all the garbage it produces.

Worked for about a year, now it's just not focusing correctly, it seems as if the processor went bad.

Easy to install on my Mac. Clear pictures and great magnification! I would definitely buy it all over again!

I am actually impressed. Out of all the devices I have, the chromebook takes the win for ease of connectivity. Just plug this in and it acts as if it's another camera. Brilliant
