Frybread: Past, Present & Future

Great book with a lot of good information

so grateful for this book & its collection of recipes, history, culture.

Too many recipes.......haven't tried this out yet, but planning to soon! Just had my son pick me up Blue Bird Flour in Arizona...........they say its the best Flour for Indian Fry Bread! So, will be making next week! I called the Milling Company in Colorado...........the manager says the recipes with Powdered Milk are better, so I will be making that Recipe! But, I do LOVE Indian Fry Bread! It's the best, so can't wait to try some of these Recipes!!!

I am very pleased with my purchase. It not only has easy to follow receipes, it gives an extraordinary look at Native American history. I enjoyed reading all the past and present history of this food item, and was surprised by many details. I look forward to trying my first frybread. I was glad it came so quickly. Thank you Glenn Miller, for putting such effort into this book.

Love this cookbook using it once a week easy to use and have made some delicious bread.

Excellent reference book with a variety of frybread recipe from different Native American cultures. I really liketheconversions for gluten free folks. All in all,it is a keeper!

Interesting book with a variety of Frybread recipes.

We've tried a few of these and they are awesome! (Fry Bread Power! :) There's a lot more than just recipes in here - Lots of history, and anecdotes abound..there's many different recipes - from super detailed and laid out step by step, to a couple than feel like they were dictated verbatim by an elder and may need a little bit of practice to get just right.. (like, just how much is a handful of flour?;)All in all, I'd highly recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in trying all kinds of different recipes for bannock or frybread.. Just make sure you bring home the *big* sack of flour from the store;)
