Fantastic!
I will preface this review with that I haven't had a functioning cordless drill for 7-8 years. After having trouble with batteries failing, I went back to standard corded drills and hadn't looked back. Then I had to do some work on my kitchen cabinets, and decided to give this guy a try. Worked great. I've been using this drill for everything. One knock that I would have on it is that there is a bit of wobble during high speed drilling. I assume it has to do with the short bearing length. But you don't get a right angle drill like this without accepting some things like that. You have to compromise something to have a drill that can fit into tight spaces. I've been very happy with it. I've charged it up once, and used it for about 2 hours now without having to recharge. Plenty of power to boot. I've driven up to 5" long lag screws with it and it didn't phase it.

Just purchased the DCD7401C & the 1/4" hex socket inside the drill chuck is a fantastic inovation.
I just purchased the DCD740C1 to replace a very old DEWALT 18V right angle drill that stopped working after more than a decade of use. The new DCD740C1 works great, and has a 1/4" hex socket built into the standard drill chuck. I really like this hex feature for use with wood bits as it locks them into the drill, no slipping. I wish all my hand-held drills had this feature.

Well Worth the Money
Love the DeWalt 20V right angle cordless drill. I rehab dressers and when putting in or taking out drawer guides this drill is a work saver. The light helps in a dark dresser. Controlling the speed is a breeze and it has the power to sink screws with very little effort. You cannot go wrong with this drill.

Worked perfectly
THis has lots of power. I just used it to screw in replacement boards on my deck. I love that it comes with the battery and charger too. THe grip is easy, it is a little heavy for me but my husband will have no problem using it. It doesn't take a chuck to replace tips either which is nice since he has a habit of loosing them. Two speeds in nice too. It comes in a nice case also that has room if you have an extra battery too.

This feels like a quality tool, and although Amazon Canada indicates its Chinese-made, that's a typo-goofical error: Amazon US gets it right, DeWalt will tell you the truth, and that's why I got one. Esta hecho en México. Nor is that some kind of weasel-word marketing like the 'assembled in America' Dewalts that are emblazoned with Old Glory (cue the fife and drum) but in fact are put together in USA from kits sent over from 'international sources' (read China). Not this. This little gem comes unequivocally stamped Made in Mexico, although that's not a hundred-percent deal; the charger and the neat little jump bag that comes with it are from China. It is really the only choice for ABC shoppers at any reasonable cost. (Not that there is anything wrong with Chinese quality -- it's just a matter of ethics for some of us.) This drill has a very tough build to it, lots of torque and good design. Two torque settings. If you grip it high you can manipulate the variable speed paddle trigger with all four non-thumbs, but you can also grip it low to use one trigger finger in the usual way. It excels at working in restricted spaces due to the right-angle layout, and it has a feature for that which isn't mentioned in the online bumf: The chuck can take in a driver bit very deeply, leaving only the working tip exposed, for the lowest-profile power screwdriver configuration. But you don't have to shove a drill bit all the way back if you need more of it to penetrate the work piece. The tool has an onboard LED light that is small but mighty. It is located below the chuck, so it causes the chuck and the bit to cast a shadow on the work, but that's physics for you. All in all, there are no real complaints to be made here at all. Of course, that's the opinion of a household DIY-er. If you ask some contractor Marlboro Man on da jawb site, you might hear different.

Tal como se ve, es una herramienta compacta, pero no para usarse con una sola mano, simplemente es más compacto que un taladro normal. Tiene muy buena funcionalidad, con toda la seguridad posible. Tal vez lo único que le falta es torque seleccionable.

I have a 20v drill and hammer drill kit already so im familiar with dewalt producs and love there tools. I wish i could love this drill. First it comes in a bag, not a hard case but no big deal. The drill itself is a good concept but if you're drilling into metal, the chuck does not grab bits tight enough. The drill bits slip, a lot. Also there's not enough torque so the bits jam lot. Might look at something with more power. Returned item for refund as soon as i got it. Customer service A1.
