Not for for purpose and actually dangerous!
** it seems that Amazon may have already stopped selling the inferior model I originally purchased and that this review is about, it came with a Wahoo mount and an elastic band mount for generic lights. This item is the BestTek one I bought second time around and I'd recommend, be wary though as to which one you order.**This is a terrible product. Please spend the extra £4 and buy one of the others like the Best Tek one. The images look the same but please be assured the products are worlds apart.I can forgive the rough casting of the main aluminium bracket, I can also overcome the fact that the GoPro mount is to widely spaced so that when you tighten the bolts the plates don't clamp the camera tight so it flops around, apply an extra bit of torque to the bolt and it strips the thread and just spins, this can be over come with a nut, but even then you have to pack between the fins with washers to clamp it tight.I can also get over the fact that the Garmin mount is extremely tight and difficult to turn the computer in, so much so the bracket flexes and it all feels like it's going to break, but what do you expect for £6.50?The main dangerous aspect of this mount, is the fact that the spacer tubes that slide over the long replacement stem face plate bolts are soft plastic. Most stems require you to tighten all 4 face plate bolts evenly to 4 or 5Nm. It is impossible to achieve this torque as approx 3Nm of torque starts to crush the spacers and pull them into the bracket. I actually tightened then as much as I could took it for a test ride and the bars dropped and spun as I rode because the bars can not be clamped tight enough. It is impossible to safely install this bracket with the supplied spacers as the required torque is too much for the plastic. The Best Tek mount comes with aluminium tube spacers and took the required torque with no trouble.I would actually call on Amazon to withdraw this version from sale.

Good Budget Mount
I bought this to fit on my MTB to mount a Garmin Edge 530. The mount is made of aluminium and very sturdy but lightweight. My Garmin fits very well and feels very secure when mounted. The downside of using this type of mount is the position is fixed so you cannot alter the viewing angle in which case an arm type mount may be preferable as you can change the viewing angle. My only criticism is the fitting instructions which are a bit basic. The fitting screws to the handlebar stem have two small black sleeves that crushed when I tightened them. I'm not sure if they're supposed to but the mount and handlebars are certainly secure. There is the facility to add a camera to the underneath of the mount but I have no requirement to do this.

Cheap but good
Bought this to hold my Garmin and allow my GoPro to be visible to all the cars that pull out on me.Fits easily, replacing your bolts.Garmin locks in secure, not fallen out yet and I hop the bike a lot.GoPro bolt is very tight, takes a lot of screwing in and is a little close to the mount, so can be hard to release with gloves on. Hence 4*, but maybe a decent feature to stop it being easily pilfered

won’t fit stem with 7mm stem fixings ( ones supplied are 4mm)
Came recommended and came with metal and not plastic spacers. So far so good although once all put together discovered that the cap head screws are 4mm and therefore too small for my stem which has 7mm fixings. Also, wouldn’t be able to fit those through the space at the front of the mount without having to faff about with a file etc. Not worth the hassle.

Garmin adaptor broke and my garmin flew off
The stem mount itself (metal) seems pretty solid (although slightly bent to one side - poor manufacturing), but the Garmin adaptor (plastic) snapped only after a few hours of riding, and my Garmin unit flew off while riding. Had I not secured it with the strap too (for safety), it would have hit the tarmac at speed. Beware. The adaptors included seem to be made by cheap plastic that breaks easily.
