Great Multi Region Disc Player (But Has Limited USB Stick Capacity)
I am glad I bought this player as it means I can play any DVD or Blu Ray from any region in the world. I also use it as my CD player as my TV is connected to an amp and speakers (for surround sound), so it's a great all rounder. Nice and compact too, so it doesn't take up much space. It also plays digital files from memory stick - but there are some limitations there. The player doesn't seem able to "read" any memory stick over 16GB in size. Therefore, if you have digital media (on stick) to view, you'll need to transfer it down to a smaller device. It also doesn't play all formats (from memory stick). Some older digital files that I can still play on my PC (using VLC Software) aren't "recognised" by this player - but most general modern file types read OK (MP4 etc).Buyers need also to be aware that the instructions for use aren't complete, but it's easy to work out what to do. Basically, DVD's (from any region) just play when you put them in. With Blu-Ray discs, the instructions tell you to press button 1 (for Region A), button 2 (for Region B) or button 3 (for Region C) whilst the tray is open. There is, however, another step beyond this not referenced on the instructions (see below).Once you have selected the right region (see above) the disc tray closes by itself. The next screen you see has four options displayed: "Movie", "Photo", "Music" and "Settings". Once your Blu-Ray is in, the temptation is to select "Movie"...but it will not play if you do. If you look to the very bottom of the screen, there is a small "Blu-Ray" icon displayed. Using the arrow keys and the "Enter" key on your remote, you must select this "Blu-Ray" icon in order for it to play. Then you're good to go.All that taken into consideration, it is a great device for its price and one you will get many hours enjoyment out of. It has really broadened the range of movies / TV shows I watch as a lot of titles don't get a UK release and aren't always available on other digital platforms.

LIFE GOOD MULTIREGION BLU-RAY AND DVD PLAY LG BP-250
If you want a Blu-ray player at a reasonable price and a good trusted make then you cannot go far wrong with this. This LG (LIFE GOOD) product will play Blu-rays REGION A: (U.S.A and other parts of AMERICA also JAPAN, SOUTH KOREA, SOUTH EAST ASIA) REGION B: (U.K. AND EUROPE, AFRICA, MIDDLE EAST AND AUSTRALIA) REGION C: (Other parts of ASIA). In addition to playing Blu-ray's this will play Multi-region DVD'S such as REGION 1 U.S.A. DISCS and REGION 2 UK and EUROPE DISCS as well as other regions. So this is an essential product to have if you have been having problems with your Blu-ray's and Dvd's not playing on your standard player (personally I hate region codes and think that they should never have been invented in the first place and I know that it is to do with cinema releases not being shown at the same time in a perticular country, it's to stop people in another country seeing that movie on dvd before it's release, but I feel that films should have the same release dates in both the U.S.. and U.K. but as these annoying region codes exist I had to get this player having ammassed a collection of Region 1 U.S.A DVD discs that would not play on a standard U.K. player so this player solved my problem) this is a good replacement, also this player is easy to set up using a HDMI cable to your tv and it is also slimline, so doesn't take up a lot of room. I paid around £134 from Amazon which is not a bad price. Thanks for reading this review from Garybaldi

NOT REGION FREE - don't be the next victim!
Don't do what I did and assume the other 1 star reviews saying "NOT REGION FREE" must be some kind of misunderstanding - because they're not. I got sent a standard, region locked 'LG BP-250'. As soon as the box arrived I had a bad feeling because i saw "region 2" written on it, with no instructions inside to change regions - and the first try of a foreign disc failed. It's a mystery to me as to why this is listed, very clearly as "Region free" - and yet it isn't. Look through the reviews and lots of other people are saying the same thing.Sadly, even as a region 2 player I wasn't very impressed with this machine. It played my UK Blu ray's and DVD's just fine, and i was quite impressed with the DVD upscaling, but there seemed to be errors with the software on the device. For example, I would skip a scene using the remote and the entire movie would just stop playing. Other times there would be weird static interference on the screen and the image would start to glitch. In fairness, I was given a full refund - and you will see lots of 5 star reviews on here raving about this machine. I can't quite understand where those reviews are coming from, personally, because so far as I can see this device is not what it is advertised as - the only theory I can think of is that some people are being sent region unlocked while others are not - either way it's a gamble.
