Sunshine, Moonshine (Step into Reading)

昔、読んだことがあり懐かしくなり購入。当時は気づかなかったですが、絵がとてもキレイです。内容が分からなくても視覚で楽しめます。繰り返されるフレーズが頭に残り、つい口から出ます。

Sun(Moon) shines 〜　で始まる簡単な文章が繰返されます。海辺に太陽が昇って沈み、そして月が昇る。男の子の一日を照らす『光』の美しさに目を見張ります。２歳の息子は、光源(雲に隠れた太陽等)を探したり、とても興味を持って読んでいます。子供の絵本とは思えないイラストの美しさに感動です！

単純なセンテンスの繰り返しなので子供も覚えやすく、一緒にページをめくりながら読んでくれます。絵も美しく、心がなごみます。朝の光と共に起きる所から、最後は、月明かりの中で眠りにつく話の流れになっているので、ベットタイムストーリーとしても最適だと思います。

Very easy level one reader. I wish the "Step into Reading" had more specific leveling, because this is very easy compared to other level 1's. It's repetitive, as in almost every page starts with "Sun shines" or "Moon shines". What I like is that there are 28 pages to read, so although it's very simple, your child does feel like they have read a substantial book. I've attached a sample of the text.

This is a cute story and a well written book. I would recommend it for sure!
