Awsome Deck
I have been reading tarot off and on since childhood. I won't say how long that it is, but it is a few decades. This is an awsome deck. The artwork is refresing and wonderful to read. It would be great if Lee Bursten would write a book to accompany the deck and provide discriptions for each card, but it is not absolutely necessary. I read a sample reading of his on the web for this deck and he is wonderful in his description of each card, that is why I feel a book is in order. Lee if you are out there, let me know when you have a book ready. You can see a lot in them just by looking at them. The cards are modern and representative of our times. I think they will truly be of historical value. The artwork is somewhat of a comicbook style, but beautifully done. Of course they are gay oriented and I feel they are true to what our society represents, acceptence, inclusiveness and non-racial. The figures are pretty much all male, so some of the traditional cards have been renamed, but that makes no difference if you are used to Waite style, you should have not problem expanding your mind with this deck. Of course everyone has different tastes, but I just love these cards and highly recommend them. Also, if you are looking for an erotic deck, this is not the deck for you. If I were a collector I would buy a set and leave it unopened for prosperity.

Tries very hard and accomplishes what it set out to do for the most part
Wow where to start. These cards are pretty good. I like the marvel super hero style pretty okay and how if you lay the cards out you see reoccurring characters going through changes in their lives. I read about how the author of this deck is a really avid collector of tarot. I'm also happy with the modernity and the inclusion of different skin types and ethnicities and ages of people living all kinds of different life styles. The deck is a very positive one considering how dark it COULD have gone, being for gay guys. And make no mistake, it is just for gay guys. Apparently, tarot is a girl's club and there are already several decks with strong lesbian over tones out there to choose from. But I have a couple of beefs.Number one, and maybe this is kind of racist: Classically, the different suits of tarot specified different skin tones/hair color combinations. You can see this represented in the Robin Wood Tarot, though she decided to base her deck only after people classically native to Europe as popular history dictates. The notion ties in to the elements and how each one is (supposed to be) a different personality type. Like the 'earthy' personality type. Honest and surly or what ever. The Gay Tarot disregards this old (nearly forgotten, possibly from lack of diversity in tarot, possibly because it's stupid and confusing) standard entirely and maybe that's for the best OR maybe they missed a great opportunity for something.Number two and more importantly: BODY TYPES, artist lady. PLEASE. I'm not sure if she just never learned how to draw anything other than one kind of man or, more horrifyingly, she might think that all gay men work out as their main source of entertainment. I remember reading that in Europe they have this stereotype even harder than we have in America sometimes and also remember reading the artist was European. Even the old men in the illustrations are ripped. wtf. I'd be laughing out loud but I mentally wrote this review years and years ago and it's not funny anymore. It's a pretty dangerous stereotype.would I recommend this deck to a friend: Yeah probably. Gay guys and chicks who dig gay representation can both appreciate the efforts made here.would I use this deck as my go to for doing regular readings: No, laughs too hard at stiffness of art. Also the people in the deck seem to be telling their own stories pretty hard rather than being flexible tools to extrapolate onto your querent .

A PLEASANT SURPRISE
I ordered these cards for my work. I had no expectations thinking they may not be possibly not good quality. Not only was the shipping fast but the quality of the cards are very good, I found them very easy to read, I had not worked with this type of tarot cards and definitely will integrate them in my work. I would recommend them if you are seeking this particular aspect of the tarot.

Masculine energy, friendly, heart warming
I got this to represent the divine masculine (father type energy), and for any men out there gay, straight or trans. This is a great tool to help you connect with the vital part that the masculine plays through life a (huge part). So from a feminine perspective this deck has been a indispensable addition to my tools of finding out equally, the more masculine side to my woman hood. Great addition! Good splashes of color, racially great integration, good display of how important the masculine and feminine in men are. Have fun and good luck!!!

Unique
I like these tarot cards. They speak more to me as a gay man. However i wish the booklet that came with it was more in depth and provided more background to understand the meaning of each card.
